Question about LG LHT764 Theater System
When pressing open on remote or unit, unit goes through process of checking each disk and then gives "disk error" code and tray does not open. Can pry it open during that process, but afraid will break it.

well you have the right code, but you have to get the volume options so you can control it. Hold down at&t and the ok button, then let them go. put in code 955 then press enter(bottom right) now you should be able to select whatever device and control that volume source

SOURCE: DISC ERROR MESSAGE
Usually it helps a lot if you take off the upper case of the DVD player (7 screws) and search for the lens of the DVD/CD. Clean it with alcohol or terpentine or something like that and it will probably work afterwords. Good luck.
