Della 12 Quart 1600-Watt Electric Pressure Cooker Multi-Functional Timer Slow Cook XL Part number: 048-GM-48261 Unable to get this cooker to slow cook.

it is possible that you have misunderstood the instructions
for a slow cooker you have low medium and high
press slow cook and on low and in 8 hours the food is cooked
I see from your statements that you expect the cooker to be set on slow cook but cook at a high temperature fast
if it says slow cook --9 hours and the temp is 125 degrees , have you waited 9 hours to see if it is cooked as the slow cooking process is by the gradual build up of heat in the container that is not expelled by radiation to the air
in a pressure cooker , that build up of heat also builds up pressure and so it cooks better
other solution--- if it is not right return it for a warranty refund or if out of warranty , junk it and get a different make

My Cooker is coming up with a E3 What do this means or how to fix it?

Error Code Error Solution
F0 An internal error was detected. Disconnect power. Wait 5 seconds before reconnecting power. If the symbol appears again, call for service.
F2 The surface cooking area is too hot and has turned off. Remove the pans from the surface cooking area. "F2" will disappear when the surface cooking area has cooled. If you turn the surface cooking area back on and "F2" reappears, the cooktop is still too hot. Turn off the surface cooking area and allow it to cool.
F4 The pot or pan is too close to the control panel. Make sure the pot or pan is centered on the surface cooking area and nothing hot is on the touch control panel. Wait 5 minutes for the control panel to clear. If "F4" appears after turning the surface cooking area back on, call for service.
F8 The surface cooking area has been in operation too long. The surface cooking area automatic shutoff was activated. Turn off the surface cooking area.
C1 The power voltage is too low. Turn off the cooktop. Wait 5 seconds, then turn it back on. If this continues, contact a qualified electrician.
C2/C3 The cooking surface area has overheated. The surface cooking area automatic shutoff was activated. Wait 5 minutes for it to cool, and then turn it back on.

How do I change temp and time while food is cooking?

all is explained in the user manual
if you have just put food in the even and pressed the start several times to get a number of minutes to cook but want to increase that time just press start again the number of times that you want the cook time to increase
for example :-
you put a frozen pie in the oven and your start operates in 30 second increments and you have pushed it 3 times and it starts cooking-BUT - you read the cooking instructions and it says cook for 4 minutes, just press the start another 3 times while it is cooking
the new cook time will show on the display

The fan oven gets hot but food cooks more on one side than the other. Food needs to be turned for even cooking. Food also takes much longer to cook than stated on packaging.

How do I use this grill? Charcoal in the larger cavity and wood in the firebox???

I assume you have the model with the side firebox? If so, when smoking you have your charcoal and wood in the firebox and the meat to be cooked in the large cook chamber. This is indirect heat cooking. Your cooker is dual purpose. You can load the large chamber grates with charcoal and cook as would with a charcoal or gas grill (direct heat cooking), or you can cook low and slow using the smoker portion. The heat comes in from the firebox and into the cook area. Ideally the temp in the cook chamber should be around 225 while smoking meats in this manner.

Google "smoker forums" and you will find a group of guys will to help you learn to cook with a smoker and share cooking secrets.

I hope this helps.

I have Emerson Microwave #mw8999sv which has the Express Cook option- cooking 1 - 6 minutes. How do I cook for 1 minute 30 seconds, etc.? Thank you.

The owner's manual is here. On page 10 we find:

COOKING IN ONE STAGE
1. Press the POWER button; the Microwave and High
Cook indicators will light and “PL 10” will light in the
display.
2. Press the POWER button different times to set the
desired power; the display will show the percentage
you chose. If selecting power level 70%-10%, the
Low Cook indicator will light instead of the High
Cook indicator.
3. Press number keys to set the desired cooking time.
OPERATION(CONTINUED)
4. Press the START/+30SEC. button to start cooking;
the Microwave and one of the Cook indicators will
blink and the display will countdown the remaining
cooking time in minutes and seconds. It will beep
five times when cooking is completed.

Vibrating noise when cooking

In order to try to set your mind at ease I will have to explain the Basics on how a Microwave Oven Functions.
When a Microwave Oven is set to COOK ...START. It cooks at 100%. There is no lowering of the heat as with a Range ( Cook Top) Control. So in order to do the other things such as DEFROST, WARM, or anything other than 100% COOK. A COOK ON- COOK OFF system was utilized. To DEFROST, the Microve COOKS at 100% for 30% of the TIME, then IDLES for 70% of the TIME. COOK ON 30% of the TIME, COOK OFF 70% of the TIME = DEFROST This is why you can hear the CYCLE. More power is required during the ON CYCLE, thus the lower vibration. The Vibration occurs when the High Voltage Transformer is turned ON ( COOK ON).
The VIBRATION seems to have got louder with age. This is somewhat normal as there is a vibration from the High Voltage Transformer present every time the Microwave is used. screws and other metal parts seem to get loose with this vibration. There is no solution, unless you can tighten EVERY screw, nut, and bolt in the unit.
Sorry!
