Do the right thing and see if you can find the owner... contact apple. they'll have all registrations and can help you return it to it's owner...

The email? Why would you change the email? The problem is probably because someone put a password on the iPod. Because you can password-protect your iPod touch. Hope that I helped!

How to connect to itunes

Connect the iPod to any one of the computer's USB ports via an Apple USB cable.

Open iTunes on the computer.

Click the name of the connected iPod, which is located underneath the "Devices" menu in the left iTunes column.

Click the "Summary" tab that is found at the top of iTunes.

Click inside of the "Manually manage music and videos" box positioned in the middle of iTunes.

Click the "Apply" button that's positioned near the bottom of iTunes. You will now be able to safely connect the iPod to any iTunes.

I found this ipod touch (1st generation) but it is disabled and i cant put in a password. Every time i hook it up to itunes it says i need the password to use it what do i do to reset it?

Connect it to a computer with itunes installed. Then reset it by holding the awake and sleep button with the home button at the same time. Once it resets, hold down only the home button, until it connects to your itunes and asks you to restore the ipod.

Forgot my ipod touch password and now its disabled

Connect to iTunes, go to the settings menu of your iPod (click on the picture of your ipod on the bar on the side.) Then click "restore my ipod's settings," or something similar to that. You will have to re-sync your ipod, but your password will be removed. hope it helps

I found an ipod touch! but its locked! how do i delet the passwor

Hi there...

Connect your iPod to the primary computer you use it with (the first one iPod synced with), and open iTunes. When you disconnect iPod from the computer, it will no longer be locked. If you can't unlock iPod using either [the code or connecting it to the computer you use to manage its songs]. . . you can restore your iPod to factory settings using iPod Updater. Please note that this will erase all data on your iPod. Afterwards, you can add your music and data back to your iPod. If you want to change the primary computer that your iPod is associated with, do this: 1. Restore your iPod. Warning: The restore process cannot be undone. All of your songs and files will be deleted. Always make a backup of your important data. 2. Connect your iPod to the computer that you want to be the primary computer. 3. Open iTunes and synchronize. Apple also notes that company "representatives cannot unlock an iPod if you forget your combination. If you can't unlock your iPod and you don't have access to the primary computer, your only option is to restore the iPod, which will erase all music and data."

Thanks

Can't unlock ipod

This is going to sound really crappy but, the ONLY way you can unlock your iPod without your password is to restore it using iTunes on a computer.

Below, I have posted a step by step on restoring an iPod just in case you need the information. I do hope you don't have to loose any music over this. Again though it's the ONLY way without a password.
How to restore iPod (ARTICLE NUMBER HT1339)
Open iTunes, and then connect your iPod to your computer using the USB or FireWire cable that came with your iPod.

After a few moments, your iPod will appear in the Source panel in iTunes.
Select your iPod in the Source panel and you will see information about your iPod appear in the Summary tab of the main iTunes windows.

Click the Restore button. You will be prompted with one or more restore options that may prompt iTunes to automatically download the latest iPod Software.

The 4 possible restore options are: Restore Option

1: Restore - Restores with same iPod Software version already on iPod. Restore Option

2: Use Same Version - Restores with same iPod Software version already on iPod even though a newer version is available. Restore Option

3: Use Newest Version - Restores with the latest iPod Software available. Restore Option

4: Restore and Update - Restores with the latest iPod Software available.

If you are using a Mac, a message will appear prompting you to enter an administrator’s name and password.

A progress bar will appear on the computer screen indicating that the first stage of the restore process has started.

When this stage is completed, iTunes will present one of two messages on screen with instructions specific to the iPod model you are restoring.
Restore Instruction 1: Disconnect iPod and connect it to iPod Power Adapter (typically applies to older iPod models).

Restore Instruction 2: Leave iPod connected to computer to complete restore (typically applies newer iPod models).

During the stage 2 of the restore process, the iPod will show an Apple logo as well as a progress bar at the bottom of the display. It is critical that the iPod remains connected to the computer or iPod Power adapter during this stage.

Note: The progress bar may be difficult to see since the backlight on the iPod display may be off.

After stage 2 of the restore process is complete and the iPod is connected to the computer, the iTunes Setup Assistant window will appear asking you to name your iPod and choose your syncing preferences similar to when you connected your iPod for the first time.

I found a Ipod touch and it say "IPOD is disabled - Connect to itunes" I did this nothing happened, before this message it asked for the code, but i didn't know, what do I Do?

Hold the power button (top button) and the home button at the same time for 30 seconds until it says restoring in process or it will have a yellow hazardous sign. Connect it to Itunes and it will prompt you to restore. Restoring it will change it back to its factory settings and erase everything on the ipod.

If u tried connecting it itunes will say cannot connect enter password. Unplug it and follow the steps above. You must have a itunes account to do this,
