Question about Televison & Video
The original remote died and I bought an ALLFORONE universal remote. I am however unable to program it either by using the given codes in the manual or by using the search function. This problem came up while I was fiddling, trying to get the new remote to work. It still does not work but I actually had items come up that would be accessible with the TOP TV remote, even though the TOP TV remote was actually lying to one side. Mogammad from ONEFORALL tells me that they do not have codes for TOP TV.

SOURCE: cant change channels
Your in the video mode so you have to change the input. On the original remote, its the button left of the power button. A universal may not work for this. If you need the original remote, Its available at http://www.remotes.com Good Luck

SOURCE: Blue screen and red padlock
It sounds to me like a child lock function, which is usually what the screen + padlock is on TVs. Usually your original remote would have a button / sequence to unlock the mode. If you still have your original remote, look for a child lock button or refer to your remote manual (and/or TV manual for the child lock feature) to unlock the mode.

SOURCE: tv is locked
I had the exact problem...tried a number of things that did not work. My dog "ate" my original remote. After reading your solution I took the universal remote that was programmed to work with the tv and tried holding down each button for a few seconds hoping that one would work like the display button on the original remote. It worked. I have a GE universal remote and the menu/info button worked for me. Again, you need to hold it in for a couple of seconds. Thanks for the help and I hope my added solution helps other people. Claudia in Minnesota
