Your oil pressure is too high in your disc brakes, higher temps will make the liquid expand, resulting in what you describe.

There is no good way to fix disc brakes on your own without a lot of knowledge, take it into your LBS (Local Bike Shop) and have them bleed the lines.

Likely uses an ahead set type handlebar setup. There might be spacers that you can move from over the bar to under, but if you are looking for a lot of adjustment, puchase a new stem that is adjustable.

A major limitation is the steerer tube length. No matter how many times you cut a steerer tube it won't get longer.

Getting Riser Bars or simply flipping the stem over or getting one with a different rise and reach might give you the added height you need. If you LIKE the handlebars, the stem is the best and least-invasive option as most new ones come with front loaders (detachable front caps) that allow replacement without stripping components off one side of the handlebar. In minutes a Bicycle Shop could swap any number of them onto your bike for you to try.

A reputable Bicycle Shop would have fit the bike to you before you took it home.
You can search the web for many answers, too.

2007 Giant Terrago (ladies model). In moderate to warm weather both the disc brakes seize on. The wheels will only rotate freely in cold weather.

How do you raise the handlebars for the animator first bike by Giant bikes?

David-

To raise or lower the handlebars, first loosen the hex screw on the top of the stem. One or two turns is all that will be necessary. Next, you will need to stand in front of the bike with the front wheel between your legs to brace it, and give the handlebars a forceful twist to the left or right. This action will break the friction of the handlebar stem and the headtube (the headtube is part of the frame where the front forks and the handlebar stem meet...). With the handlebars loosened you can adjust the handlbars up or down. Keep in mind that the stem has only a specific amount of adjustment available...there is a limit to how far it can be extended up, as indicated by a line marked on the stem shaft. Once adjusted to the desired height, check that the handlebars and front fork and wheel are aligned. Tighten the screw in the top of the stem and you're done!

Hope this helps.

How do I raise the handle bar height on my Giant Trance

Flipping it over might work, or get one with a higher rise, different reach. Get a bike shop to assist as there are 4 parameters to match up: steerer diameter, handlebar diameter, reach and rise.

How to raise the handlebars on a 20" Huffy Rock It

Usually there is a hex bolt or some kind of bolt in the handlebar stem.
Loosen the bolt 4-5-6 turns.
Bolt will move upward.
Then hit bolt down with wrench.
Handlebars should be loose.
Raise handlebars to position.
Hold bolt upward with fingers while tightening.

How do you hire the handle bars on a giant mountain bike

Hello. You will need an adjustable wrench. Then look at the center of the handlebars and you will see a bolt and a nut. Usually the nut is on the underside. Loosen the nut, raise the handle bars and retighten the nut. J.
