Adesso Cybertablet M14 Dead Spot?

I was trying to use my graphics tablet today and everytime i draw over a certain spot on the tablet, the line will suddenly move downwards. I don't think it's an issue with the driver, but I don't know how to solve the one dead area, as it'll probably grow to more areas. I can't afford a new tablet, or for this one to be sent in to repair [if possible] What should I do?

Clean round the edges as you probably have a bit of dirt or spilt drink affecting it

SOURCE: Adesso cybertablet 12000 mouse and pen problem

I had the same problem way back with my wacom tablet. Mine was due to mouseware drivers. Soon as I got rid of them it was fine. So if you have mouseware drivers it may be interfering with the wintab drivers

SOURCE: Adesso CyberTablet 8600 glitch

I've had this problem haunting my tablet for so long! Seeing your problem here made me want to bring it back up to my attention and fix it... and I did! This worked for me at least!

Right click 'My Computer' and go to Properties.
Goto > Hardware
At the Top go to the Hardware Manager
Look at your human interface drivers installed, when I plugged in my tablet, there were two drivers installed, one called Cyberpen and one other, I disabled the other (right click > properties) and restarted the computer and now its working!

Hopefully that can help everyone else out there!

Pen pressure problem with illustrator

Is there anybody here who is familiar with the Adesso Cybertablet 8600?

First I'll say that despite Adesso being a cheap brand, my tablet has worked great for me for the past two years and I am happy with it. However, I cannot get the tablet's pressure sensitivity to work well in Illustrator CS2. When I go to the brush options, the pressure feature is off. Has anybody else experienced and/or conquered this problem?
Thanks

Tablet pen's cursor skips around in 3 places?

The cursor skipping in three places is apparently caused by the connectors inside the tablet getting dirty or corroded.
Fortunately, you can easily fix this problem yourself! All you need to do is unscrew the back of your tablet, unplug the connectors and clean them with a q-tip dipped in alcohol.
There is a video on YouTube that shows you step-by-step how to do it(it's easy!).
It's called: Howto fix dead areas on any graphics tablet and it's posted by riodroid.
Here's a link to it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ff7Vw-0kPsE

Hope this helps!

Below is the full text of an email I sent to the Adesso Company. They sent me a response in just a couple of days.

I tried it out on an Adesso 8600 Cybertablet. It works perfectly.

Complete email below this line:
Hi there,
Please install the following driver from the following link pertaining to your operating system.
Windows Vista - 3.14.09 (4.15 MB)
Windows Vista 64-bit - 3.14.09 (4.15 MB)
This will resolve your issue.

I have had my cybertablet about 6 months. It works fine on my old computer but not on my new vista computer. I downloaded the new drivers from your website that say Vista on them but I still get a double cursor. I have found that many people on internet forums are having this same problem. Are you going to make a vista compatable driver for the 8600?
