Good morning Sandra: Sorry for taking so long to get back to you. I wanted to think about this first and today I did my laundry. The clicking sound can be a few things. The question is, is this normal? There are solenoids near the soap dispenser that control the movement of water. Water is flushed through the soap tray at various times during the washing process. The first time to pick up pre wash soap. The second is to pick up the wash soap. The third time the bleach and finally the softener. The machine will go through these steps even if you do not have any of the above mentioned chemicals in the tray. Each one of the sections requires a separate actuator. Some may be closing while others are opening. If your machine seams to be working fine (your soap, bleach, pre wash soap and fabric softener) are gone at the end of the wash cycle then I would not be concerned. If the clicking seams to be constant during the wash cycle and this seams to be a new phenomena. You might consider calling a tech, but I would not be in a hurry to fix something that is not broken.
Best of Luck

If its' working normally and dispensing properly, I wouldn't work about it. The washer has to manage emptying the various containers at the appropriate time and you might be hearing this process.
On the other hand if this sound happens continuously all the time, there might be a problem there, maybe in the control module.
The advisers at RepairClinic.com are expert in this kind of thing, you might try them if you need further help.

HI there, in my own experience it could be something poking out of the drum (check for things left in the drum like bra wires etc..) and as it turns it rubs against the outer drum causing that sound or in my own case it was a cable tie rubbing on the soap dispenser draw whenever the drum was in motion! It depends really as you don't say when in the cycle it happens?

It sounds like the timer showing 1:09 is the time in minutes (109 minutes = 1 hour 49minutes) which is approximately the same as your own timer shows.

The soap dispenser often gets blocked and you will have to remove it and clean away all the residual, built up soap.
It sounds like the drain plug in the base of the unit has become blocked and that is why the soap dispenser is filling with water. All the water SHOULD DRAIN THROUGH the dispenser when it washes the soap down into the washing machine.
Also sounds like your water or fabric softener is blocked too!

Take the plastic parts out and clean away all soap residues.

The door for the soap dispenser is stuck half open even after I ran it thru a couple of cycles

This may or may not be the answer you are looking for but I know with mine the soap dispenser will not close unless the outside dial is completely in the "off" position. Trying turning the dial clockwise very slightly. If you hear a click and it resets the soap dispenser position that should work. Otherwise I have no idea. :)

Dishwasher soap not opening

These rely on mechanical timers and springs on the soap dispenser. They get a bit gunked up after a while. Don't prewash and run the the dishwasher for a few cycles with the dispenser open (put the soap tablet in the cutlery basket). If you listen to the machine you may be able to hear the click when the dispenser should open which at least tells you that it should be working
