SOURCE: dryer won't start and the check lint screen light

It may not be your lint filter but instead be a clogged duct. I would suggest removing the duct and check for clogs or a kink in the duct itself. Then check the interior and exterior vent and remove any visible lint. If you exterior vent is a louvered type, check to see that its opening properly.

Airflow through the dryer vent is restricted. Blow through the filter opening with a reversed vaccum cleaned. Set it BLOW instead of **** usually by putting the hose on the exhaust end.

SOURCE: my check lint filter light is on, lint filter has

Thanks for using FixYa. To start with the first thing you should do is to remove the lint filter and clean the lint out of inside where the lint screen goes. After this unplug the unit for 5-10 minutes and then push & hold the start/pause button for 10-15 seconds and reconnect the unit. If still it won’t work then it’s the sensor that has gone bad and needs to be replaced. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

SOURCE: Electric dryer model LE7111WB. After

Hello robert...Yes...there are several things you can do. Try one and if it doesn't completely do the trick, try another....

  • 1. Clean the lint trap. Moldy, musty scents can get trapped inside lint traps. Remove the lint and gently wipe off the screen with a dry clean cloth.

  • 2. Disinfect the dryer. Combine one cup of bleach to a gallon of warm water. Submerge a clean cloth into the liquid and wring out the excess liquid. Thoroughly wipe down the inside of the dryer, making sure you have cleaned all surfaces.
  • 3. Use white vinegar. Mix a cup of white vinegar with a bucket of warm water. Dip your clean cloth into the bucket and squeeze out the water. Wipe down the interior of your dryer including the inside of the door. White vinegar is a very effective odor remover and will freshen the dryer and eliminate the moldy smell.
  • 4. Use a portable steamer to steam the inside of your dryer. Steaming your dryer will reduce smells and kill bacteria that cause odors. Keep your hands away from the steam because it gets very hot.
  • 5. Put a few charcoal pieces into a small bowl, place it inside your dryer and let it sit overnight. The charcoal will absorb the odor and leave your dryer smelling fresh.
  • 6. Try cleaning the inside of your dryer with diluted lemon juice. Wipe the inside of your dryer with the solution, allow to dry, and repeat if necessary. Lemon juice neutralizes odors and is non-toxic. JOE

  • Thanks for choosing Fixya!

Lint screen to be clean .so I cleaned the lint box

Not sure how far down you took apart your dryer to clean it out, but I've found that I sometimes forget to re-hook up the door switch connector when I'm working on dryers. So, my advice would be to first check all your connectors. Then, check to see if you might have accidentally pulled a wire off of a terminal somewhere along the way.

I have a maytag Neptune NDE3000AYW and the dryer turns on, runs for a few seconds and stops. took it apart and cleaned all the lint and dust. after a while it will run again for a few seconds and stop. ...

Check the door switch. It may be at fault here. Open the door and hold the switch by hand and start the dryer. The switch should have a firm resistance to it when you push it. If you should find this bad, here is the replacement switch. If the switch is ok, then the motor is bad. Here is the motor to order.

Maytag 3000 series dryer fault code f22. what does it mean? dryer is just over a year old so i think i'm outside warranty.

F22 is an exhaust blockage. Machine shuts off to prevent overheating and causing a fire. Check the exhaust in the back for blockage. Also clean lint screen before each load to decrease the chance of exhaust blockage
