Is there is sound coming from the motor when you step on the foot control?
If so you might have the bobbin winder engaged.
1 - Disengage it.
2 - The motor belt may have broken, bring it to a repair shop.

If no sound is coming from the motor when you press the foot control.
1 - Make sure the presser foot in the down position, and try again.

2 - Unplug the foot control from the machine and try running the machine by pressing the green arrow on the front of the machine.

3 - If all these fail, bring it to a repair shop.

If you are trying to embroidery, make sure the embroidery unit is completely connected. If it is, the screen will change to embroidery options. That is about all that I can think of. Hope this helps.

Try checking the clutch on the motor or maybe a faulty drive belt

Foot control on my Juki 2010 sewing machine is not working, as if there's no power reaching it at all. There is power to my machine as indicated by light coming on when main power switch turned on.

Pam, Could be a bad/broken wire, may be repairable, you should take your pedal in to be tested, if diagnosed to be bad you may have to order a new replacement pedal. Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

Have been very displeased with getting parts for my machine locally. Is there a better way? Also my machine will not turn on or will not sew it is if it is jammed. How to fix would help me out. Thanks

Use this business for parts:

1. Make sure the outlet is a good one. Plug something else in to make sure.
2. Look at your cord carefully to check for breaks, cuts, etc.
3. Plug in. If no power slightly bend the connections and plug back in.
4. If you still can't get the machine on you may need to get a professional to help.
5. Check your bulb/replace if necessary. This will indicate power.
6. Do you have a connector under the machine with two plug in's? If the light doesn't come on except when you push the pedal then you have the plugs reversed.
7. If you can turn the hand wheel with your hand it isn't stuck. Clean the bobbin, replace needle, check needle isn't rubbing against sides of throat plate opening.
8. If it feels stuck take out the bobbin case assembly and turn the hand wheel without any thread on the top either. Get it unstuck and oil all gears, wheels, etc where you see metal against metal movement. When you move the hand wheel pay attention for movement of the needle. Is it rubbing anyplace or do you year pings?
9. Some of these will help you to get it going or give you an idea whether you need to go to the repairman.

Janome Overlocker has power to the light but when I press the pedal nothing happens. Any suggestions to resolve this issue?

can you hear the engine humming when you plug it in? if so, that eliminates electrical supply to the engine.

If you manually turn the flywheel towards you does the loopers and needles move through a stitch sequence? If yes, then its not the main drive gears inside. If there is no movement or if a looper just "flops" around, you've got an internal drive problem, probably time to take it to a technician.

Lastly, check that the looper cover and side cover are fully closed as they will have safetly cutouts on the doors that prevent the machine from operating when the door is still not fully closed.

Bernina 180 sewing machine 'died'. Was sewing - everything OK. Stopped to turn material, looked away, and when I turned back, screen, machine, everything was dead. Power source is OK. Exchanged cord -...

Hi, sorry to say but very rarely is it the fuse when this happens. You can unscrew the one screw on the ouside and pop the cover open. (carefull as there are wires attached and make sure you are grounded or have discharged any static from yourself).
The fuse will be self-evident but I suspect you will need a visit to your Bernina dealership for a new circuitboard.

Red light comes on when pressure foot is down

Is your bobin winder thing on top pushed to the left? If it is pushed to the right - the machine will not allow you to start sewing.
