SOURCE: I have the Craftsman mini

The silver cone is held by one torx screw, but you need to slide a screw driver undr the housing so it will not turn while you unscrew it.

When I pull start rope on my Craftsman 32cc 4 cycle weedeater . . . engine does not turn over . . . when I let go of the rope and it retracts . . . what is wrong?

There are 2 dogs or fingers that expand out to grab the flywheel when the rope is pulled They are sticking and can not expand or slide out. Remove the recoil unit and free them up When the recoil unit is off pull the rope and watch the action

The starter rope won't move on the mini tiller when I try to pull it

The starter housing is a lousy design; ours also failed just out of warranty and after dis-assembly, I still could not free it.

The part number for the complete housing is:

I see the price is up a few dollars but I bought two after seeing the nature of the problem so have a spare in the shed.

We had no problems with the replacement so there may have been some change in the design.
Swapping the head does require some attention but don't lose patience, you can do it.

A add-on comment; The design or orientation of the blades allows a ridge to form in the center but pulling to the side (blades are then diagonal) prevents this from being a problem.

I own a 2 cycle mini tiller craftsman and I need a manual for it. I want to tune up tiller it's blowing smoke.

Manuals for many Craftsman tools are available here: . Lots of tillers are listed just by searching for Craftsman tiller. If you can find the model number (usually on a plaque on the housing of the tiller), you can narrow down the list greatly.

I hope this helps.
