Question about Cell Phones

Open Question

Siemens thermostat rdh10rf/set-uk

Receiver & Transmitter units have worked fine for 2 yrs, now all of a sudden they are not communicating with each other but - and here's the strange thing - they still work fine every morning but only SOME evenings ( I have a separate programmer which is set to come on twice a day - mornings and evenings). The Green and Amber lights on the Receiver are on as usual so no obvious problems there. Despite that,I have re bonded the units a few times and managed to get the heating back on but the next evening or the one after that it stops working again! Spoke to Siemens tech helpline but the chap had never heard of such a problem before and suggested I get a plumber or electrician in. But that is no guarantee of a solution as I would need to get him round on one of the evenings when the units are not on speaking terms :-( Help appreciated.

Siemens, RDH10RF, thermostat, not turning my heating on

You likely lost the settings when the batteries died. Sound like you have to reprogram the tstat as to your application. Like switch heat type FROM GAS to ELECTRIC.

Skytech 1410 fireplace remote (8 yrs. old) has stopped working. Replaced batteries in the transmitter. The red light lights up when

It may need to be re-synchronized:

Make sure the receiver's slide switch is in the REMOTE position.
Press and release the LEARN button on the receiver.
When you hear the "Beep", press and hold the ON or OFF button for about 2 seconds on the transmitter.
You will then hear a series of beeps that indicate that your new transmitter has been accepted by the receiver.
If you press the LEARN button on the receiver and you hear no beeps, the receiver is unable to retain any more transmitter codes
(make sure the transmitter battery is properly installed and fully charged).
To delete all of the transmitter codes on your receiver, press and hold the LEARN button for 10 seconds. Then you will hear a
series of beeps, indicating that the receiver's memory has been cleared.

It could also be dead after 8 years. A new unit can be purchased here: Skytech Remotes. I would even suggest on of the new styles with a built in timer or thermostat.

Not getting areading on receiver

Try turning on the receiver first, then the transmitter. The dashes usually mean there is no communication between the transmitter and receiver. You may also want to try moving the units closer together.

Seems "desynchronized," beeping constantly, doesn't seem to work anymore

Reset the unit, (page 21 in the manual.) If you are missing the manual... Put the receiver next to the transmitter. Turn the receiver off then on again While holding the volume button on the receiver hold down the pager button on the transmitter. Do this until it beeps
That's what the manual said, I had to try it several times before it worked. I'm not exactly sure what I did the last time (maybe held it down longer or pushed it repeatedly), but it made a different beeping sound than the first times and suddenly it started working again.

Trying re-syncing the transmitter and the headphones. Hold down the power buttons on both until they alternate red and blue blinking, worked for me and now they work just fine. Got that from the Logitech FAQ website.
