Is there a way to replace the fuse on the Jawbone Big Jambox?

My unit got wet and stopped functioning. Instead of giving up on it, I wanted to see if I could locate and replace the fuse. Any suggestions on how to do this?

The cord for this unit got wet, and im fairly sure the fuse inside the cord tripped. It refuses to turn on.

Hello friend, thank you for your post!

I understand that the power cord to your Frigidaire air conditioner got wet and you would like to know if you can change the cord with a different brand. Even though the cords may be the same voltage it would not be recommend to interchange the cords. I would suggest contacting your manufacturer for proper replacement parts. I hope this information is helpful. -Matt

S10 turn signal flasher location

If your emergency flashers are working, you don't need a flash relay.
The multi-function switch you're referring to isn't all that hard to do. What isn't working? What unit stopped all together?

2005 Chrysler town&country cruise control stopped working

Does the cruise control lights come on when you select it? If it doesn't then you may want to check the fuse(s) that give the system power. If the fuse is blown then try replacing it. If it blows again when you try to use the cruise control then the unit it self may be bad and need replacing. You can find the fuse box location and the right fuse for it in the owners manual of the car.

Replace the fuse within the microwave

Hello :

To locate the fuse, remove the outer cabinet of the unit, which is usually held in place with a few screws. Once the outer cabinet is removed, follow the power cord into the unit. It will take you to the fuse holder, where the fuse sits. The fuse holder is located two or three inches into the unit, and may be attached to a power board .

CAUTION: Your microwave oven is capable of giving you a serious electrical shock, even when it is unplugged. We strongly suggest you seek the assistance of an appliance repair technician when conducting any microwave oven repair.

Dryer is not heating. the dryer timer goes all

HI, The timer control module is the culprit. This device controls the heating functions of your unit. You have indicated that the timer will not stop the unit, and it continues to run after the cycles intended stopping point. This will confirm that the timer is damaged, and it should be replaced asap, if possible.

NOTE:-( Just to be safe, check the thermal fuse as well. This is a emergency cut-off fuse that will blow if the element overheats your unit. it is located on the blower housing, or vent duct inside the unit. Test the fuse for continuity. If it is ok, replace the timer).

Water is no longer collected in the bin; blows onto floor

i removed the back from my dryer and checked all the pipes, i blew down one pipe which reversed the flow and water and a blockage came out of the drain hole located under the condenser, small hole left hand side below where condenser slides in.
i also checked that the float switch was functioning correctly. this is a microswitch above a piece of polystyrene that stops the machine when the tank is full, this is found when the back is off and on the right hand side bottom as your looking in the back. if none of these resolve the problem then im at a loss what else to suggest.

Drum stops turning and cycle ends prematurely

Additional resources:

From the AskMe Appliance site:
"I would first check the thermal fuse located on the back side if the blower housing. Unplug unit and disconnect 1 wire from the thermal fuse. If no continuity, replace and unit will run fine. It normally blows because of clogged blower housing or clogged vent hose."

A bad thermistor can cause intermittent problems so make sure all connections are tight and that the device is securely mounted. You could try jumping it out and running the dryer but only if you are standing right there watching and you are sure the vent line is clear.

Stopped working during microwave function

First unplug the unit.
The problem is most likely caused by the thermistor (thermal resistor) failing. This device is located at the outlet vent and will cut power if the unit over heat or catch fire. All microwaves have it. You can test it with an ohm meter. You can get a new one from an electronics store like Radio Shack.
You will have to remove the cover to get to it.
This unit may also have a fuse inside, I do not know if this is the one you changed, but you can look at it. You didn't give a model number so I could not point you to a diagram.
