I am not familiar with this particular thermostat; however, here's some general information; I hope this solution will help you troubleshoot.
Multiple Thermostats set in 1 zone will conflict; the one with the lowest setting will be the determining Thermostat. Here's an option you can try yourself; my solution is 'hard reset' the thermostat - afterwards, i'm outta options. invest in external thermometer battery/natural types; & manually turn t-stat ON or OFF; Additionally, keep an eye on how much draw your AC is doing on your meter.

setOFF manual; however do NOT change settings or power-off t-stat. I'd keep it on what you had intended it from day1. However, some may debate to turn everything off beforehand. personally, myself, poweringOFF the switch connected to your t-stat works. Remove battery and reinsert inverted; wait (5sec-1min); remove; wait 1min ('debatable' timeframe 5sec - 1min); reinsert batteries correctly; if you have a programmable thermostat; do the same with the hit 'reset filter' held down & wait 5-sec1min; observe roomTemp reading. May I suggest to keep an extra thermometer around to determine if temperature reading from the thermostat correct? Friendly reminder to turnOFF 'auto' mode during this hard reset. If reset requires reprogramming your t-stat, do whatever required to set your desired setting. cheers. best of luck.

5 ton goodman package unit not coming on

If you look on the install manual. It says it will work for a heat pump without backup heat. No heat strips.........If you do not have strips the guide says as follows

"PLACE A JUMPER (PIECE OF WIRE) BETWEEN Y AND W IF YOU ARE USING A HEAT PUMP WITHOUT AUXILIARY/BACKUP HEAT." if this dosnt work check the fuse in the air handler you may have blown it if you did not turn the unit off before installing.

Honeywell RTH2300 says Heat On, but furnace isn't running.

Your tstat is not the problem. I've not yet worked on an oil furnace. I'm way down south. But either way, if your tstat was calling for heat(heat on), and you pushed a reset at the furnace, more than likely that reset is a safety. OK to reset, but now what ever that safety is preventing from happening, has failed and can not be reset until repaired. The reset should be an automatically opening switch upon unsafe operation. And manually closed to "reset" the safety. That safety is connected to something that is not working properly. Hope this helps!

Installed the Honeywell RTH2300/RTH221 but the old thermostat was removed by someone else. Since the original wires were not labeled, I simply attached them to the new thermostat by following the letters...

This appears to be a thermostat installation that was made without regard to wire code. The Honeywell material I have suggests it may be necessary to check connections at the furnace end and work back to the thermostat. There may be compatibility problems between the number of wires in the old installation and terminal connections in the new thermostat. Honeywell may be able to help at 1-800-468-1502.

No heat after installing honeywell thermostat H8110U

hook up the blue wire in the furnace cabinet where the blower section and the other thermostat wires are connected to the furnace. the thermostat you have uses a common wire from the thermostat to the furnace and this needs to be hooked up in the furnace otherwise you will have the problem you are having.

Honeywell rth221 wiring question

The unit has a relay that is opened and closed by the house thermostat. There should be a small brown covered wire... These go to the 'primary' side of the relay (the part that carries current through the relay coil).

One side of the secondary part of the relay (the part with the heavy contacts) are internally connected to the compressor and fan circuit. The other side, the one with the terminal screws, is for connection to the power lines. In a 220V circuit, it makes no difference which of the two wires you connect to which terminal.

The bare wire coming from your house wiring is to ground the unit (Usually a green screw). Hope this helps.
