Question about Video Game Consoles & Games
Have you modded your wii (to play games of a usb port or play copied games)?
Softmodding or Hardmodding both come with the risk that future games may not work IF the game comes with security checks for the presence of such mods.
If your wii is NOT modded, it may be remedied by connecting to the internet and downloading updates to your wii.
If your wii IS modded, then do NOT attempt the above as you may brick it.
If none of the above apply, try the game on a neighbour/friend's (unmodded) wii..if it still doesn't work - exchange the game from the place of purchase.

you need to sync the controller that is going to be used
open the battery casing. press the little red
button inside until the 4 lights on the front flash
then go over to the console and open the SD card cover on the front and press that little red button
then the controller is synced and your light will correspond to Wat player you are
then go multi player
