My toto 2405 will not start. Battery has 3 months of use. Unit is showing a green light. Appears that the battery is charged.

Could be a loose contact at the connection between the wire and at the gps unit.
Think the green light must be on at the charger port and also on the gps unit.
This green light can be found near the power button on the gps unit.

MIne had the same problem. Seems that there is a pin inside the machine that fits on the inside of the connector that goes in bottom of machine. That piun was broken off inside the charging end and only made intermittant contact causing machine to go flat.
Contacted TomTom and since it is over 2 years old and I cannot find my original receipt they will not fix it. They agreed when I suggested that should I throw it in the trash?
What about that for customer service No More TOmTOm products for me.
Also the power switch was so diffcult to turn on or off, often needed a coin to get it to switch.
Also my street not on their maps and its been here for 15 years!
If you can find a Torx security screwdriver of the right size you can get to the inside. Since they will not even repair mine for a charge I have no other choice.

Try doing a reset. Hold the on/off button down for 20 seconds.
Hope this helps
SOURCE: Tomtom not getting a valid GPS signal.
This is a common issue with TomTom software in general!
To alleviate this issue, Tomtom has released QuickGPS add-on to locate satellites faster. If you have not got it loaded to your device, download the appropriate version of QuickGPS from the TomTom site and make sure you use TomTom Home (connected to the Web and your device) to update both your MAP and QuickGPS on a regular basis.
Hope it helps: let me know how you go and good luck!
