I also have a jd gt235. you have to take the body off. seat and fenders. cannot take it off from bottom. also check the pulley on the trans. mine wobbled out the center spline

Loss of power in drive of my jd f935


These units run a hydraulic style transmission. The loss of drive could be as simple as low oil level. There is a check plug on top of the transmission, oil level should be within 1" of the fill hole. The probable loss of drive is from wear. This would require a new transmission. Repairing these style transmissions is expensive.

Jd 8530 transmission vibration


Worn bearings or shaft joints would cause this, I would look at the drive joints first, transmissions in most cases don't vibrate.
