Want copier to use up more toner in machine

The copier stops when the MACHINE detects the toner is low. How can I cover up the "Toner eye", so that it will keep printing and use up the toner in the machine until I say it is low?

I read in a review of this product that one person resolved the problem by covering the toner eye. Does anyone know where the toner eye is in this product?

If you know where the "Toner Eye" is in the copier, cover it with black tape. Usually though, the copier counts the number of pages printed and then at a predetermined number thinks toner is low and stops printing. If the toner cartridge is chipped (has a electronic chip) it keeps the count in there. These type of cartridges are refillable, but still have the "Empty" count. The counter must be reset. These resetters are hard or impossible to get.

The toner eye would have to see into the cartridge. The trouble is: the toner covers everything. It would cover the inside of the window and always look full. The easier way is to count printed sheets. Once the count reaches a predetermined number where you still get good printout but before the toner runs out, quit printing with that cartridge. Use a memory chip on the cartridge to keep the number so the cartridge could not be removed, refilled and re-installed and print more. The counter still says out of toner count and will not print.

Minolta ep3050 copier malfunction detected error code c0071

Sir/mam Power off the machine. Then remove the toner bottle be careful the hole might be on the bottom toner is going to go everywhere. Then close the front cover and turn on the machine. Let the machine go through it normal routine. When it asks for toner install the toner correctly. If THE KUNB on the side of the bottle is damage put a new one in that KUNB is what the toner motor uses to turn the bottle if it damage you get a code. If that does not work you might have a bad motor or the home sensor or actuator for the toner bottle is bad worse case the control board is bad

Why does the low toner indicator keep coming on, along with the J1 code, when I just put a new one in?

There is a low toner sensor in that machine that gets impacted with toner then doesnt work correctly. It uses sound waves to detect the toner, and once it gets very dirty it no longer works right. It will need to be removed and cleaned.

How do we reset the waste toneron our c2880 imagerunner after we have emotied it and put it back in? The red light is still on.

The machine has the detection system for the waste toner case. This detection is executed by the waste toner case sensor (P11) prepared at the side of the waste toner sensor.
By monitoring PS11 at the time of closing the front cover, the machine judges whether the toner case is mounted on the main body or not.
The sensor is located just up and to the right of were waste toner is dumped into the bottle. You may need to call a tech to come out and perform this. The cover that goes over this are has 3 screws holding it on. One is behind the waste toner bottle. Other 2 left and right at top!

It was in the middle of a print job, when it stopped and showed Malfunction Detected Provide code C-OF36

C-OF36 means that the mahine is not getting black toner properly. Specifically the service manual says:
"Abnormally low toner density detected by Black ATDC Sensor. Toner density that is 2% or more lower than the target level is detected ten consecutive times during a print cycle, ATVC, or image stabilization sequence."
What this means in simpleterms is that the machine is trying to add black toner and is not getting it.
Have you tried turning the machine off then back on to reset the code and see if the machine can add the required toner?
I would try this a few times. If it does not work then you will need someone to come out and service it because there are numerous causes for this condition and most are going to require dis-assembly of components to locate the problem.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fxya!

The cartrige sensor always alarm the toner is low and stop working while it is not, it keeps bothering us, and now it cannot start work. How can we deal with it?

Just cover the eye that you can see in the bottom of the machine after removing the imaging cartrige with a small piece of electrical tape. When your getting low on toner you'll notice it on the prints. Just remove the tape

Where is the waste toner container located at on the Canon 2230 Imagerunner

Facing the left side of the copier, lower left corner is a panel held in place with 1 screw (actually, this panel is about 2/3 of the way down)
Inside this cover is the waste toner container. It will slide out towards you. Carefully poor contents into a plastic bag. Then wipe the inside and outside of the opening of container. There are 2 "eyes" or sensor clearings that need to be free of toner dust for the machine to function properly. Once emptied and cleaned as described, reinsert the container into machine and reinstall the cover. Turn machine back on.

Copier won't print after refilling toner cartridge

As far as I know, filling up with toner is not enough. There is an electronic chip that must also be replaced, so the toner cartridge tells the unit it is a new one. Check with your supplier for such chip.

The copier has an "eye" that detects when the waste toner bottle is full. If you dump it and reuse it, the residue can build up and cause the machine to "think" the bottle is still full. I experienced the same problem. If you re-use an old bottle, after emptying, rinse our any remaining residue and dry the bottle out. Your copier should then notice the bottle being empty.
