Question about Exercise & Fitness

Open Question

Freespirit treadmill Model No. 30519. Bought in 2008. Everything is running fine, except the belt. I showed it to my electrician friend, and he said that the motor is not an issue, most probably it could be the motor control board (the green control board besides the motor on the LHS).Called sears, they said it will be 199.99 and will come on June 4th, 2014 with $85 for a sears electrician to come and tell me about the problem and maybe more to fix it. Since I already know what the problem could be, I told them I will get back to them.Doing my research online, just wanted a second opinion.

Treadmill stops abruptly i have to reset button then go again for a few minutes

Find out what is overheating it. Most likely something jammed into one of the rollers.

TREADMILL ERROR MESSAGE

A proximity sensor is telling you the belt is incorrectly aligned. Probably too loose. Bolts on end of shafts control belt tension. Turn in if loose, out if too tight.

My Nordictrack X9i treadmill console says it is operating at speed, however the track is not moving. Occasionally the belt will move for just a moment then it stops.

do you hear the motor running but the belt is not? if it is the belt need tightened or the drive belt may have broken. remove the motor hood to inspect

I have a Freespirit Treadmill...Model l# JM05-001. I was using it and it just shut off giving error message E1. I turned it off and restarted it. Belts are working fine and did not use incline. It runs...

Don't laugh, but I'm working with an old Athlon Simplicity model to try and adapt the motor to a band saw. In any event. There is a magnet imbeded on the outside of the front belt roller. It triggers a circuit that counts the revolutions. There should be a small postage stamp sized black plastic piece near the belt roller that has two wires running to the circuit board. It may have come unplugged somehow. When I unplug mine - the motor stops and it displays E1.

I get the worse electrical shocks from my treadmill...the other day I got a really bad one and the treadmill shut off and when I started it up again all the numbers on the console are cut in half??

Better check the harness where it runs up the supports. Some of these had the harness mis-routed and screws were able to damage the wires and create shorts.

Freespirit Treadmill

Did you try it before you bought it and it was working. when you move the unit and pluged it into the wall outlet was it on? if yes then you may have damaged the lower board. If you can not get that part then the treadmill has died. Is it a Bowflex or a Free spirit.
