Question about Computers & Internet
Can I use duo core E8600, maybe there is a better inexpensive cpu I can use?
It entirely depends on the motherboard. If the motherboard specifications say that it will take the proposed CPU then you can use it. Otherwise in my experience it won't work. It should state the type of CPU in the motherboard instructions. If you don't have them, do a net search for the motherboard. If the motherboard is an older model than most of the faster CPU's you can buy in a shop won't work. In the end if it's an older model, then you will need to change the motherboard to get any decent speed from a CPU.

The motherboard box may help. Or you may need to open up your case and see what model your motherboard is. Do a search for the model and see where it takes you. The motherboard site will usually carry drivers for what you need.
If you do find the appropriate software, I suggest copying the files to cd, or dvd and putting the disc in a safe place just in case you do format again.

There are very little things that you can upgrade in an laptop. The processor that you have on your laptop is top end processor in its family and the thae best you can do is to go for a faster core2duo as any other processor will not fit on your laptop motherboard.
Contact your system manufacturer to know about compatible processor for your laptop.
