How to fix uneven Sofa Bed

I have a sofa bed that has no mattress but just folds down into a full size "bed". Basically the back support part folds flat aligning with the seating area. This is a very uncomfortable as the two areas are not even! Could you please suggest a solution?

SOURCE: I'm looking for a sofa bed but one with a comfortable mattress

The key rule for this is to actually try ityourself. Have a sale representative in the store help you pulling the bed andyou should try it before buying. It is no secret that, usually, the more youpay, the more comfortable you are. This is usually the case with mattresses. If you prefer something a little more firm, you should look into latex sofa-bed mattresses. I recommend vising several stores and testing out the firmness of the mattresses yourself.
