Question about Audio Players & Recorders

I'd like to get some examples using macros for the Remote MX-950

I'd like to get some examples using macros for the MX 950. I have three devices that have a single command to turn it on and off. I'd like to jump from one setting like cable-Denon-tv to McIntosh-sacd or McIntosh-Netgear-tv to listen to MP3. I am having a hard time to get the macros to work correctly. I appreciate any help.

Presuming that the IR codes for the 0~9 numbers are captured correctly, then problems like this are usually down to either insufficient time between key presses, which can be solved by adding a small macro delay to each key; or the device being controlled is receiving multiple IR streams either directly from the hand unit and the IR emitters, or there's a blaster in the cabinet that's bouncing IR in multiple paths.

I can't download software for my MX-950

It seems to have compatibility issues with Win7. On your PC right click on your MX icon, find the Compatibility tab and select Windows XP.

Or you can download Windows Virtual PC from Microsoft. This will allow you to run Win XP programs on Win 7.

2. Auto Scan With Three-Digit Number
You can also program your remote control by sending out a
series of Power Off commands for different brands stored
in the library by using the following steps. This is similar
to the first method, except it is easier to move through all
of the device codes for your device and make note of each
one that turns your device OFF.
1. Manually turn on the device you plan to operate.
2. Go to the SETUP mode by pressing both the MAIN and
ENT buttons simultaneously for three seconds.
3. Press the P-PRO button next to the LCD screen.
16
17
4. Programming the MX-500TMto Control Your Components
4. The remote will be flashing "SELECT BUTTON".
Press the device you wish to program. (For example, to
program TV, press the TV button.)
5. The remote will be flashing "FROM TABLE". Select the
device from which the scanned code will be selected.
(Important: If you have already relabeled your device
keys, your LCD screen will not look like the illustration
above. Select the appropriate LCD button for the "FROM
TABLE" using the labels as shown in the illustration on
page 11 of this manual. For example, if you have relabeled
AUX as LIGHTS, you would still push the bottom-left
button to access the AUX Code Table.
6. Point the remote control toward the component and
alternately press the UP (or DOWN ) button on the LCD
and the Power button. If the right code number is sent, the
component will turn off right after the code number is
transmitted.
(Please press the UP (or DOWN ) button within 20 seconds
of beginning programming, otherwise the remote will
revert to the SETUP menu, and then after a period of time,
it will go back to the MAIN device page.)
18
7. Confirm that it is the right code by pressing the Power
button. After you have confirmed that the right code is
entered, save the code by pressing the SAVE button on the
LCD.
8. Confirm that you entered the right code number that
matches your component by pressing other functional
buttons. If any of the buttons do not operate, as they
should, please repeat from Step 1.
9. Continue to program other components by repeating
from step 1 above.
10. You can press EXIT at any time if you do not wish to
proceed.
11. Exit from Preprogrammed mode by pressing the MAIN
button and then exit from the SETUP mode by pressing the
MAIN button once again.

COD

In computer science, mobile code is software transferred between systems, e.g. transferred across a network or via a USB flash drive, and executed on a local system without explicit installation or execution by the recipient. Examples of mobile code include scripts (JavaScript, VBScript), Java applets, ActiveX controls, Flash animations, Shockwave movies (and Xtras), and macros embedded within Microsoft Office documents.
Mobile code can also download and execute in the client workstation via email. Mobile code may download via an email attachment (e.g., macro in a Word file) or via an HTML email body (e.g., JavaScript). For example, the ILOVEYOU, TRUELOVE, and AnnaK email viruses/worms all were implemented as mobile code (VBScript in a .vbs email attachment that executed in Windows Scripting Host).
In almost all situations, the user is not aware that mobile code is downloading and executing in their workstation.
Mobile code technologies can be used to support three different paradigms:
Mobile code can also be encapsulated or embedded in other file formats not traditionally associated with executable code. An example of this form of encapsulation is the presence of JavaScript in a PDF.[1]
Mobile code also refers to code "used for rent", a way of making software packages more affordable. i.e. to use on demand. This is specially relevant to the mobile devices being developed which are cellular phones, PDAs, etc all in one. Instead of installing software packages, they can be "leased" and paid for on a per-usage basis.
