Your book in the glove box actually has a section dedicated to maint. procedures. You have transmission fluid, brake fluid, belts, plugs, antifreeze, tires, oil. Your book will be very specific to all those mileages. The most important of all is the oil change and quality of oil and filter; it is the blood of your new car. I always recommend a high quality synthetic oil and extended life filter. It costs a lot more but you will extend the time between changes.

Adding to Randy's good advice I advise staring a log book in the glove box to record all you do. Try to get a copy of the manual - Google is your friend ... and if you see same car parked ask owner or leave message on windscreen to ask to photocopy manual. When I buy secand hand car I try to replace all belts, filters (oil, petrol & air) and if possible drain and refill petrol tank as dirty petrol and water can cause grief.

can you tell if it had battery? That would be for the remote aspect of it. but normally it should still work even missing that as far as the car is concerned

Do 17" wheels fit on 2015 Legacy 2.5 LIMITED (car comes with 18" wheels) ? any technical aspect of the car would prevent from putting 17" ?

As long as the bolt pattern and wheel setback are compatible there is no reason why you cannot go a 17" wheel. You may consider going to a higher profile tire to keep the tire circumference the same because keeping the same low profile will result in a speedometer error unless you recalibrate it.

I just purchased a used kia forte with only 25K miles. After two days the cigarette lighter is not working (and it's not the fuse) and the power side mirror has stopped retracting. I am concerned that this...

yes return the car, some people luck out with kia/hyundai others do not. I would stay away. the dealers customer service is usually not that good either.

I can't a full image on my toshiba 37RV25R

That's mighty vague of you. What input are you using? Is your source material's aspect ratio 16:9? There are a lot of things to consider. For some reason, though, I get the feeling that you're trying to hook the TV to your computer...

The maximum resolution supported by the TV's PC (15-pin D-sub) input is S-XGA (1280x1024 -- an aspect ratio of 5:4). The 37RV525R's native resolution is 1920x1080, though, an aspect ratio of 16:9. Obviously, you'll want to use a compatible (16:9) resolution. The TV would probably be happiest with 1280x720 @ 60Hz (a.k.a. "720p"). I've read that the TV will accept 1366x768 @ 60Hz but I'd just use 720p and call it done.

The differences between 1080p and 720p are barely discernible on a screen this size (especially if you're watching from across the room). No matter what input you're using, the source must have an aspect ratio of 16:9 or it will not be accurate and full-screen on the 37RV525R.

I am thinking of buying a preowned 2008 or a new 2009 mini cooper or cooper s. Still undecided. automatic but have seen many forums about problems with mini transmissions /power steering etc and am...

you take a risk with buying any pre owned car. make sure that it has a full service history from the dealership only!! this should mean that it has been serviced properly.

hope this helps.
