ALL MOVING PARTS HAVE TO BE OILED. THE RACE UNDERNEATH THE BOBBIN CARRIER NEEDS ONE DROP OF OIL VERY FREQUENTLY. THE NEEDLE BAR AND FOOT PRESSURE BAR NEEDS OIL ALSO. INSIDE THE MACHINE THERE ARE MANY MOVING PARTS TO BE OILED AND CLEANED. TAKE THE MACHINE TO A PRO IF THE NOISE DOESN'T STOP AFTER YOU OIL THE ONES THAT YOU CAN GET TO.

I just worked with my Shark sewing machine and it was fine suddenly it stopped zig zag and start working simple stitches! Can you let me know why it happened? There was no noise or sound of breaking.

There is a spring that got loose from the needle arm that keeps pressure on the arm. It needs to be reattached. Anyway, make sure all of the normal adjustments are set properly. Just one adjustment wrong will cause the machine to only run in a straight stitch. Possibly a button hole or something else. Remove the top of the machine and look down where the needle arm is. The needle arm bracket has got to pull the arm towards the arm using the pressure of an attached spring. This spring is hanging inside the machine from a permanent side bracket. If it isn't there then it has dropped to the bottom of the machine. Anyway, the needle arm must have the sideward pull in order for the machine to produce a zigzag stitch.

Top thread is hanging up somewhere under feed dogs. With and without bobbin in place. Any suggestions.

1. Make sure to adjust the bobbin tension. Also, make sure the bobbin is correct for the machine. If it is too tall it will surely have problems. (see attachment for bobbin tension adjustment)
2 Always thread your machine with the pressure foot up. As you thread give gentle tugs to check for hang ups. This has to be corrected.
3. Adjust the top tension to four to begin with. Final tension adjustment can be made when you give a trial sew.
*Always oil race w/one drop of oil before the bobbin case is placed back. This is done only about every 10000 stitches.

The Yamata sewing machine isn't making any stitches. When a press the peddle the machine makes a spinning sound and nothing happens. If I keep working with it and adjust the controls sometimes it will sew...

Hold the wheel at the end of the sewing machine, and then tighten the hub that is in the middle of that wheel. It is purposely designed to tighten and loosen, so you can wind bobbins up with thread without running all the parts of the sewing machine when you do so.

I have a Euro Pro Deluxe Demin sewing machine...when stitching the tension on the fabric is very loose and on the top as well, I have tried adjusting both either higher or lower and still nothing, the

it sounds like it's time to have the machine serviced to see if there
is something wrong with the tension dial, and see if the machine
needs to have any adjustments

CONNECTING THE ARM AND IT MAKES A GRINDING SOUND WHEN TRYING TO DO ALIGNMENT

While the embroidery arm makes a certain amount of noise when it is initially indexing, I'm assuming from your description that the mechanism is making noise but ends up stalled (probably with the hoop holder in the rearmost position). It sounds like it's not engaging the end stop switch correctly. Take it in for adjustment. This is not something you want to tackle yourself. Beyond the switch adjustment it may additionally require recalibration to properly register the various hoop sizes.

Memory Craft 7000 making terriable noise

the machine is showing it doesn't need oiling or the manual says
it's a self oiling machine?
if the machine is self oiling the DON"T oil the machine.
if you think the noise is from the tension dial,, the try using a can of
air or unwaxed dental floss on the tension dial if you have access
to the tension dial.
or the machine may need to be checked to find why it's making the
noise. the machine may just need some adjustments or a tune-up
depending on when the machine has been serviced last.

We have a Juki MO 804 Overstitch/serger machine, while it is turned on but not sewing the motor makes a squealing noise like a slipping belt. Is that what it is or should I worry about something else

if its on and not running then its most likely a motor bearing or an incorrectly adjusted clutch ( large bolt on the right side of the motor ,from front of machine) loosen lock nut ( 17, or 19 mm) and adjust bolt until the noise goes away.

My machins slows to a stop

We had the slow issue and it was the foot pedal. But, rather than replace the pedal I disassembled it, cleaned it, then found a little adjustable pot (resistor). I used a tiny screwdriver to adjust the pot and the speed increased. I noticed that there is a slot in the bottom of the pedal housing that is for accessing the pot without disassembling the pedal. My wife sewed a dress after the repair and so far it is working as it used to.
