This site is a good reference for finding exactly what parts are compatible with what models. It helps with all types of repairs, replacements and upgrades. Here is the web site's front page: http://www.comptick.com Here is the page for your model: http://www.comptick.com/gateway---m305crv-notebook-memory-ram-hard-drives-battery-batteries-upgrade-options.html

I've never had the pleasure of working on one of these. What I do when trying to find the hard drive in a machine I'm not familiar with is put my ear down to the machine, start it, and listen for the hard drive to kick in. This let's me know where it is, then I look the machine over to figure out how to get to it systematically. On most laptops, there is a cover on the bottom or the side that hides the hard drive. If on the side, it's generally a caddy that is held by a screw on the bottom, and the hard drive slides out with it. On some models they put the hard drive under the keyboard or palm rest/touch pad. So, listen to find out the location of the drive, then look for a cover on the side or bottom in that area. If there's not a cover, then remove the keyboard and check if you can see it. I know this isn't the answer you were looking for, unfortunately there's no manuals on line, but I hope this helps, and get you started in the right direction.

yes anyone can do this, the drum is the unit the toner fits into, remove as though you were removing the toner cartridge, that the toner all the way out of the drum unit and install the old toner in the new drum and slide back into printer, again the drum unit is just the casing that your toner cartridge slips in and out of
