Question about Jandy Lite2 LG400 Ceramic Compact Heater
I have a Jandy Lite 2. When I turn the knob to pilot, depress and hit the ignition the pilot immediately lights. I continue to hold down for over a minute and then let it up so that I can turn to the on position. As soon as I let the pilot switch come up the pilot goes out.
Sounds like you need a new thermo couple. found at most hardware stores

you for posting your question here on Fixya.com.
the pilot generator or the pilot head itself is the issue. You need a good,
solid blue flame across the generator to get enough power to hold the switch
open when you let go of the knob. If the pilot flame is week or not aimed
across the generator it will not stay lit.
it is but the generator is old and weak, it will go out as well. If you can see
the pilot flame and it is a nice blue color, replace the generator. If it is
not, disassemble the pilot and either clean it out or replace it.
