No only the key can be cut barrel and key are made at the same time to match no code on barrel just 2 digit number to match key number and code. if key lost you can get a new key on the pass code you get with the car 4 digit number that controls the cars ecu etc. but it depends on the age over 10years it gets harder to get the numberd parts.

Is there keys already cut that starts a 1998 honda accord v6 for sale or do i need to buy a new ignition switch. Lost mine

talk with a locksmith as there is a key code on the barrel of the switch and he should be able to cut a key to that code
if no code he will be able to remove the barrel and cut new keys from the tumbler positions
the only thing is that although he can cut keys , if it needs keys that work an immobilizer they can be expensive
if you are buying this car , then the seller should have the keys

I have a broken key for my 98 Toyota Camry can't find the other half how do I get the ignition cylinder out when I can't put it in ACC

Contact Toyota and either give them the vehicle vin number or the serial number from the ignition barrel and they might be able to cut a new key from that......failing that drill the barrel out!

1990 Camry ignition will not go under "acc" position.

In a Camry this age it is most likely that the key and lock both are worn. Toyota ignition key barrels are known to wear. Both old Toyotas I have had did this.

Go to an auto locksmith and explain that you want a key cut with a little extra metal on the profile, due to wear, and see if that works.

If not you need a new ignition key barrel (just the centre, not the electrical bits). It can be made to fit the old key, however you might decide not to bother doing that as it isn't much trouble to have 2 keys for the car.

Toyota starlet key won't turn in ignition

It could be the key is worn out. A locksmith or dealership can cut a new key from the key code that came with the car when it was new. If you are a second (third, fourth...) owner. You may need a new lock cylinder - with new key.

I have an Isuzu Rodeo and the key is stuck in the ignition any idea how to get it out? Year 2000

replace the whole ignition barrel with new key and get key programmed by dealer
can remove barrel and key by removing steering column covers turn ignition to on position and with small shank screw driver push in hole in outer top rear section of barrel assembly then pull out ignition lock barrel with key in it. fit new lock barrel and key, program new key into system and can get door lock barrels coded to suit new key or get code for old key and cut new key so it fits mechanical locks on the rest of the vehicle (just wont turn in ignition) 2 keys for vehicle.

I lost my keys for my 2003 rodeo

you will have to get a dealer to cut new keys to code that dealers have access to and then get them to program to car but also erase old keys so vehicle wont start with old keys
or next more expensive option is new keys, ignition barrel and door barrels replaced which are differently same coded key and locks as well as programming and erasing old keys.
