Question about Pioneer DEH-P5500MP CD Player
Alright guys i have a problem with my pioneer car radio! i have everything hooked up and plugged in. the radio will turn on and every thing will appear to be working just fine! soon as i turn the volume up to here the music their will be no sound or anything soon as i get to 65 volume wich is max i will here a static sound like almost when the bass would hit on the song i would here in the speakers a wierd static sound wich doesnt stay on continuesly just when the bass hits im guessin,
but either way it is not making any sound period only when i turn it full volume it will make static come threw the speakers every couple of seconds. plus i realised that when i went to hook it up to my wire harness the radio doesnt have a (BLUE) Remote wire.. so does this radio come with a remote wire ? ive really never owned one that didnt,
any ways if some one could please help me that would be much
Yes the remote wire is to go to a remote device like an amp. did you get a harness to hook it up to the cars harness. or did you just wire it in straight because if you hooked it up wrong you can blow rhe reciever and it will not work can you take it back

Hmm.. thats a nice radio, not too shaby heheh...
Well your car radio should have a Blue wire with a white stripe for the remote, in case you are interested in the user manual (wich im guessing you dont have)
it has a diagram of the harness and it shows a blue/white remote wire, so im guessing that you bought it used and probably got a different harness with your car radio... but then again thats too weird
you could do a check to see if thats really the problem... just feed 12V From the power terminal of your amp to the remote terminal, that should turn your amp on and you should be able to listen to your car radio's output (id suggest not setting the volume all the way up when doing this XD)
Hope it helps
