First rule is to replace only one line at a time. Needle nose pliers is the only tool you should need. Replace the fuel line from the filter in the tank to the carburetor by removing the filter from the line, extract the line out of the tank, and remove the other end from the carburetor. Use the old line to measure for the replacement. Measure the point where the old line passed through the tank wall down to the filter connection. Mark this point on the new line, and push the line into the tank far enough to attach the filter (which you have checked for plugging), then pull the line back out to the mark. Make sure that you use the proper line for this connection as the filter must flop around to the lowest tank level so that the saw doesn't run dry of fuel when operated on it's side. The other connections are straight forward--just replace one at a time. Don't be stingy in making looping turns as you don't want future kinks. Hope this helps!

Testimonial: "I'll give the needle nose pliers another go at it! Problem is, the pliers aren't able to pass into the neck of the fuel tank from my last attempt."
The fuek hose is a push fit into the fuel tak, trim the end of the pipe to a point and push down through the top of the tank, grab the end of the hose through the fuel filler hole with a pair of long nose pliers and pull the hose into the tank, the other end goes onto the carb inlet on the right hand side of the carb body,

Right you have three hoses, there are two holes in the tank unit, the smaller of the two holes ( too the left hand side as you look down on top) this is the main fuel hose which has the fuel filter on the end in the tank, this then fits to the right hand connection on the carb, there is then a short hose which connects to the carb on the left hand side, and then goes to the shorter of the two connections on the back of the primer ( suction side ) there is then a hose from the longer connection on the primer( pressure side ) back to the hole to the right hand side of the tank , so to recap the primer pulss fuel from the carb, into the primer bulb, and dumps back to the tank.
