SOURCE: Dell 2300 MP temp light flashes and projector turns off.

I am experiencing a similar problem with mine. It will cycle on and off without actually powering up fully and then after about the 4th or 5th time it will shut off completely and the lamp indicator light on top illuminates. i am reading in other blogs that this is a design flaw on this unit. let me know if you have found any fixes.

SOURCE: Dell 3300 MP Projector

Hello,

I think this is a lamp issue. Even though your lamp might have an advertised time of 3000 hrs from Dell, it can fail and dim a lot earlier than that. Often within 1000 hrs a projector lamp's brightness can be reduced by up to 40%. Projector lamps brightness and lamp life varies according to how you use your projector and the environment it is in. Our company sells projector lamps and has created a YouTube video to help people get the most out of their projector lamps. You can see the video below. If you decide to buy a new lamp we have the lamp you need in stock at Projector Lamp Experts.

Hope this helps..

Mitsubish WD 65638 fuzzy/blurry

is the menu coming up the same. as it can tell you a lot if it is not. fuzzy screen in the middle could be the mirror has come away from the back or there is a build up of dust on the projector or projector light. it could also be one of the camber mirrors in side the projector has come loose or discolored. if the menu comes up ok then it is the avi board control chip as the projector is separated from the other boards and it gets its signal from this.

Trying to synch my mac and my dell 3300 MP so i can deliver a power point.

Your Mac should do it automatically. I suspect you need to get into projectors "input" menu an assign what input it's supposed to recognize . (it'll give you multiple choices)
