Question about Acer Aspire 5610 Notebook
I have an Acer Aspire 5610Z. About a month ago, the screen sudddenly shrunk by about 1/2" on the bottom and 4" on the right-hand side. The resolution was previously set at 1280x800, now it only gives me the option for 1048x768 or 800x640. Everything still functions, but I don't have the full screen size that I should have. I have tried downloading new chipset drivers and video card drivers, with no success. Any ideas out there?
OK, this is not a sure-fix. My Mom's laptop has a button (like a Function Key) that "changes" between the LapTop Mode and the Attached Monitor Mode ...
Like Function and F8 combination or something ... look at your keyboard and one of the little side-pictures on the keys should look like a little monitor ...
Pressing the Fn-Key and the F8 (or whatever yours is that changes between the two modes) should fix it.
Sorry, I've not seen my Mom's laptop in two years and am pulling this outta the air!!
