SOURCE: cooling has stopped

Apparently the freon has escaped or the metering device for the freon is plugged up. Either way, it's expensive. Check your warranty for "sealed system" repairs.

SOURCE: We have a Kenwood PAC

Look on the back of the unit. The filter is a removable plastic thing that slots in behind the air intake vent.

How do I access the filter on my LG (LHD659EBL) dehumidifier, how do I clean the filter, and how often should it be cleaned?

To find and remove the filer. First, turn the unit OFF & unplug it. Then remove the water bucket. The filter frame & handle will be located at the top of the bucket holder just behind the front louvers. If you have never removed and cleaned the filter, it may have a piece of plastic tape on it, which was used for shipping. Remove the tape & discard it. Pull the filter frame's tab handle straight down and remove the filter. It can either be vacuumed or if it's really dirty, washed in warm water and a mild dish washing liquid. Rinse thoroughly and shake off any access water. Allow it to dry completely, before reinstalling it. Never operate the unit without the filter in place. Doing so could cause damage to the unit.

Clean the filter at least once every two weeks.

Hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

Shortly after I turn on the sanitizer on the machine, it turns itself off (the whole machine). Does it need to be cleaned?? What type of solution do I clean the boards in??

Remove the plaques and using an old tooth brush clean with mild soap and water.. Rinse thoroughly, towel dry and finish drying them with blow drier. The interior of the unit and it's filter should also be cleaned. Depending on what type filer it uses (Aluminum mesh or soft mesh plastic) they too and can be washed with mild soap and water, rinsed and thoroughly dried. Any other type filter material may need to be replaced. Clean the interior with canned compressed air with a straw nozzle and a dry paper towel.

Of course, before you do any of the above, unplug the unit.

How to change air filter?

Look in the front, passenger side corner of the Ford Explorer, it will be just behind the windshield washer fluid reservoir.
Loosen the clips that hold the housing unit closed. Remove the lid and set it aside.
Remove the old filter from the housing unit. Clean the unit out making sure to remove large pieces of debris.
Replace the air filter with a new one that is compatible with the year make and model of your Ford Explorer.
Turn off the car's engine before attempting to change the filter, the filter acts as a barrier against the engine backfiring. Don't start the car unless the air filter housing has it's lid in place.
Put the lid back on the filer housing unit. Don't catch any part of the filter between the lid and the base or unfiltered air can leak into the engine. Reclamp the clips to secure the lid in place.

When turned on only makes humming sound wont start or wash have cleaned filters & checked out take hose for blockages

Hi, A common occurance with these units is the wash motor may become "stuck". Don't worry...yet. It's usually fairly easy to fix. Since you stated you've clean the filter I assume you know how to remove the filer insert and then the screen below the lower spray arm, right ? If so, remove it and in the sump to the left will be a "well" leading to the pump impeller. Using a 5/16 nut drive screwdriver or small socket set give it a twist until it breaks free and you should be back in business. Keep in mind if the problem continues to re-occure, you likely need an impeller seal kit. We'll deal with that later if needed. I Hope I've been of some help. Good Luck

I got a new filter for my Beam central vacuum. How do I replace it? Do I take off the top lid of the canister?

You would not normally need to replace the filter unless it is damaged. Access is from inside the tank itself. Remove the bucket and locate the finger loop on the existing filter. Pull toward the inside of the bucket. Replace the filer by setting in it's track and snapping tight to the wall of the vac. Unless damaged you can save and clean the old filter for reuse.
