Can the hose in the retractable carrier be replaced? How do I do it?

You can replace that hose by fully extending it and locking the reel. At that point you should be able to unscrew the hose from its connector. A replacement hose can be screwed on in its place.

One alternative, if the reel's hose connector isn't inside the spool area, would be to just cut off the hose at the break, then buy a replacement hose end (with barb fitting to match your hose) and a small stainless-steel hose clamp. They work really well when you get one that's correctly sized for your hose. They're hazardous out at the "business end" of the hose, though - they can cut your hands.

Kitchen faucet hose will not retract on its own

Faucet hoses use gravity to pull them back down into position. You want to add some weight to the hose or clear the space underneath your sink. Usually a big heavy nut will do the job as well.

My Grohe kitchen pull out faucet will not retract

Normally, there is a weight on the hose (under your sink) that retracts the faucet line. Look under your sink and make sure that the weight is still attached and that there is nothing interfering with the hose moving.

Trouble with a Franke kitchen faucet - the spout has a retractable internal hose for spraying down the sink - it is not retracting as it should

Look at the clutter under the sink. Is the hose tangled or caught on something? There should be a weight clamped to the hose to make it fall back into place. This weight minght have slid down the hose.

Check the weight and see if it has screws in it to move in on the hose line the distance it lacks retracting.

Most of them can be adjusted to proper retracting mode. It may have a couple of screws in it.

New brake shoes all around, but front passenger wheel still locking up and smoking

Most times your problem can be traced to a binding caliper piston or a brake hose that is internally deteriorated and holding pressure instead of permitting it to release. If the caliper slides are free and the piston can be easily retracted chances are it is the hose. If piston won't retract, check it again after removing it from the hose. If it retracts change the hose, if it's still tight, replace the caliper. Also possible that it's an abs problem, if so check that the trigger wheels on the axles are clean and the sensor wiring is intact and that they're working.

My grohe kitchen faucet hose won't retract

the first thing you need to check is the weight on the hose under your sink. if it is set too high or to low it doesnt allow the proper weight to pull the hose back into position. also check to see if the hose is twisted under your sink also. I hope these answers will help you out.
