Problem for HP Mini 1000 Netbook PC Notebook

HP Mini 1000 - USB to boot in dos

My HP Mini Laptop needs the BOOTMGR file in the root of C: (hidden) - I did notice that you can see it when you run CutePTF32 but mine is corrupt and needs replacing.. Mine was accidentally "compressed" but I can get a USB stick to boot also IF I had this file... anyone?

- It has Windows XP installed but without the BOOTMGR file you get "BOOTMGR is compressed" when it attempts to start up...

- Sorry.. It has XP installed right from the box.. as to a CD restore there is no CD in a mini Laptop like this one.. Just 3 USB ports.. and I don't have an external CD drive.. and of course HP doesn't give you restore disks.. -Rob

If you are receiving an error message that Bootmgr is missing, follow the steps in the below link:

Insert the Recovery disc and boot of your laptop and Repair your computer
