Chain oil is not flowing through to lube the chain

Remove the side case on the chain clutch, remove the bar and chain, clean then oil ports thoroughly, clean the chain bar completely. Empty the chain oil tank and flush it with gasoline, there's a filter in the tank the gas will clean it, put it all back together and it should work fine. I've used Stihl for 25 years and never had any other problems with the chanin oil system.

Chain saw will not pump oil to chain and bar.

Try the easy fixes first, remove the guide bar and chain, clean out the bar groove and delivery hole, clean any debris away from the bar pad on the machine, drain the oil tank, re fill with a suitable cleaning fluid, rinse the tank out well to release any dirt in the tank, now try again.

Poulan PRO chainsaw -- oil is not getting to bar...what could be the problem?

You need to remove the bar and chain, clean out all the oil delivery holes in the bar, if no better drain the oil tank, fill with a suitable cleaning fluid and rinse out the tank, this will help to clean any dirt from the pick up filter, now try again, if still no better, you will have to remove the clutch and sprocket to gain acess to the oil pump itself

Oiler not oiling

If you have not already done so remove the bar and clean out the the oil delivery hole, drain the oil tank, fill with a suitable cleaning fluid and rinse the tank out, this may clean any blockage in the tank filter, if still no better you will have to remove the oil pump, clean and check the worm gear, the pump is normally behind the clutch and sprocket, this will mean removing these components to gain acess to the pump,

Can't get oil to chain saw bar, tried blowing out where the oil comes onto the bar.

There may well be a blockage in the oil filter in the tank, drain the chain oil out, now fill the tank with a suitable cleaning fluid, rinse the tank out three or four times, this will help be clean any dirt build up in the tank, if this does not help the problem may well be with the pump itself, to acsess this you will have to remove the clutch and sprocket, the pump will be situated behind these components.

Saw revs but chain runs slower then rev of motor then motor stalls out?

This is possibly because the mahine is not oiling the bar and chain, the chain is probably seizing in the bar rails, try removing the bar and cleaning the bar groove and delivery hole,if this does not help you need to go deeper into the oil pump and pump drive system, or oil delivery pipe and filter in the tank, try rinsing the oil tank out with a suitable cleaning fluid and try again.

The oiler will not work i took the bar and chain off cleaned everything but it will not oil the chain

Most machined will have an oil filter in the tank, drain the chain oil out and fill the oil tank with a suitable cleaning fluid, rinse the tank out a few times, this will help to clean the filter if it is blocked.
