Question about Canon PIXMA™ iP4300 InkJet Photo Printer
There may be a little stick in the back of the paper tray that detects if paper is in the printer. When paper is placed in the tray, it pushes the stick down, and sends a message to the printer that paper is ready. If that stick is broken, or is not being pushed down fully, it could cause the printer to think that there is no paper.
Not all printers use this method for paper-detection, so there may not actually be a stick in your printer. Make sure you're putting in the paper all the way, and if nothing else works, you could try reinstalling the print drivers, as well as updating the printer's firmware.
