Data corruption is a problem unfortunately there is no good way to recover it. Unless there is a virus present in your system someway (which would be surprising) as long as you don't copy any bad data to the HD you shouldn't have any problems. Another question should be how did the corruption happen to begin with?

It sounds like for whatever Reason (formatting, size limit ETC) it may only be an incompatability with the devices. Have you ever had success connecting them before? if not I would say you should be fine with the copy and if you can make a bakup somewhere safe.

Skylanders giants start the game on xbox 360 saysd memory error use another device or continue playing without saving. Whats going on

There's some problem with your memory unit/harddrive.

Try to turn of your Xbox, and remove the harddrive/memory unit(s).

When removed, turn on your xbox, let it start up, and then turn it back off, connect the harddrive/memory unit(s), and start it again.

Then it should be able to start.

Note: If you have the Xbox 360 Slim, the harddrive is placed at the left of the xbox if it lays down, and you can get it out by pulling back a little thingy on the back of the left side.

What do i do if a red ring comes on the xbox

This problem depends on how many red lights there are. The problems can be from a corrupt hard drive, to an overheated console. In this solution, I will mention all problems, and solutions.

1 Red Ring means hardware failure in your Xbox console. It can also mean hard drive corruption. There are multiple solutions to this problem. Turn off your console and unplug every single cord, cable, and memory device on your console. Wait about twenty seconds, and plug everything back in into it's origanal spot, and make sure everything is connected correctly. If the problem still occurs, try unplugging the console's hard drive, then turn on your Xbox 360. If your console then works after this, it could mean your hard drive is corrupt, or broken. Make sure to also disconnect all other memory units out of your console, such as a memory card. If the problem continues, contact Microsoft Support at the following link.

http://www.xbox.com/support/contact

2 Red Rings means that your Xbox 360 console is overheating. Overheating is a common problem with Xbox 360 consoles. Turn off your Xbox console. Make sure it is in a roomy spot, and not near a heated spot. Also make sure it is not on top of a towel, or anyplace cluttered. As seen here,

natesprague6_4.jpg NEVER cool off a Xbox 360 in a refridgerator, or freezer. This may cause further problems to your console.

3 Red Rings means there is a hardware problem, or something wrong with your power supply. To solve this, make sure the color on your power supply is always orange, when your Xbox 360 is off. Also make sure the color is always GREEN when it is on. If it is RED when you turn your Xbox on, try unplugging every cord, cable, and memory device on your console, and plugging it back in about 20 seconds after, and make sure all plugs are connected securely into it's socket. If this does not resolve your issue, contact Microsoft support at the link at the following link,

http://www.xbox.com/support/contact

4 Red Rings indicates that there is no audio/video plugs detected from your AV plug. This is a simple problem to fix. Make sure all plugs are connected firmly into the correct color sockets on your TV. The following colors are the ones that need to be plugged in a Flat Screen TV,
2 Red, 1 Green, 1 Blue, 1 White. As seen here,

natesprague6_5.jpg Although, on a small, old TV, you usually only need to connect the yellow, and white cables. Make sure if you're using an old TV that does not support HD, switch the AV cable to 'TV', if it is switched to 'HD'. If this does not work, you may have to buy a new AV cable.

I hope this helped you, and the Fixya community! Contact me if you're still having trouble!

My uncle has a banned axbox aand we put are memury card in and then he toold us that his xbox was banned and then we went back to my house and it say it corupted

The problem is possibly your memory card. Some memory cards can be corrupt, and effect your Xbox 360 console if plugged in. Disconnect any memory units such as your memory card, then turn on your console. If the problem continues, please respond back saying if there are any red rings on your Xbox 360. If there is not, it is your memory card.

My xbox 360 memory unit doesn't even show up on my list of storage devises anymore? Is there anyway to retrieve all that saved info or is it gone forever? My Mass Effect 1 save file was on there and now I...

Your Memory device may have corrupted or the connectors on either your console or the memory device itself may have broken. I would suggest testing your memory device on a friends console, or if still under warranty sending it to Microsoft for a free repair.

I hve audio but no video with Xbox 360

As of October 2008, a new motherboard configuration called "Jasper" which uses a 65 nm CPU & GPU is used in the newer manufactured Xbox 360 models. Because this new motherboard configuration is said to produce less heat, it might have a positive effect on the failure rate. The "Jasper" consoles require less power to run and use a 150 W power supply unlike the previous revision "Falcon" which used a 175 W power supply. It has been noted that these newer models have 256 MB built in flash memory instead of the 16 MB memory from previous models which many people believe is for the installation of the New Xbox Exprience, which requires 128 MB of free storage space to function correctly, the remaining space can also be used for the users to save games and other content onto it, rather than an external storage device such as the memory unit.

System error it says. a red line appears at bottom left of the console green light. A messege appears with black backround telling me to contact customer support what do i do to fix it?

This problem is typically caused by a hardware failure. Turn off your Xbox 360 console, disconnect and then reconnect all cables. Turn your Xbox 360 console on again. If an Xbox hard disk is attached to your Xbox 360 console, turn off your Xbox 360 console, and then remove the hard disk. Turn on your Xbox 360 console, and then test for the error message. If you don't see the error message, turn off your Xbox 360 console, and then reattach the hard disk. Alternate testing with the hard disk attached and removed to see whether the error message occurs only when the hard disk is attached. If an Xbox Memory Unit (MU) is plugged in to your Xbox 360 console, turn off your Xbox 360 console, and then remove the memory unit. Turn on your Xbox 360 console, and then test for the error message. If you don't see the error message, turn off your Xbox 360 console, and then reinsert the memory unit. Alternate testing with the memory unit inserted and removed to see whether the error message occurs only when the memory unit is inserted. If you continue to experience this problem, contact Xbox Customer Support. For more information about how to contact Xbox Customer Support, please visit the Xbox Support (http://www.xbox.com/support/) Web site.

Corrupted profile on XBox 360

I have heared that if you just delete the profile, just the profile, everything will be just fine (note: This only works if your profile is on xbox live).
Just go to memor, then go into the saving device the corrupted profile is on. Then "click" on the botton that says profile and delete the corrupted profile. Remember; the profile will be a small save and not taking up most of your harddrive, look for something with MB size, not GB size. When you have done this, go to "recover gamertag" and do so for the profile you just deleted. After all this, your game saves and achivements should be present and working.
