Question about Microwave Ovens
There is either a direct drive motor under the platter, in the center of the microwave, or there is a motor off to the side, either on top of or under the cavity., that has a rubber belt, like a rubber band that drives the turntable...belt is broken, or there is not power to either kind of motor...use a mutimeter if you have one or a light bulb made to light with 110 volts...hope this helps...if the motor is burnt up replace it..if there is no power to the motor leads...then the main control board if probabley bad...

This is a common problem the turntable motor has failed, it can be replaced.. but Microwaves are VERY dangerous. Due to the enormous energy stored in the main Capacitor, this MUST be discharged to earth B4 attempting any repairs. apart from that though should be easy enough. I do recommend a reputable service center/man tho.

the diskmotor is defect?
mesure the resistor of the motor with reduction under the plate the value must be bethween 60 and 100 Ohm.
if not the coil is burnd and you have to replace the motor.

The turntable motor will need to be replaced, this type of repair is tricky not to mention the lethal voltages it carries. I strongly recommend a professional for this job.
