How do i do volume and surface area of triangular prism on ixl

Hello Jacqueline;

My name Peter. I am a engineering college graduate. Later I changed careers and now, I am a retired field service appliance technician. So, I work on the side and it you have any appliances that need repair call me @ 414306-1362.

The length on one side of the end triangle is "a"

The area of the end triangle is: (a x a) x 0.433 = Surface Area

The surface area of the prism face = a x length.

The volume is: The surface area of the end x the surface area of the face.

Abby builds the first layer of a rectangular prism using 6 cubes. Liam adds 2 more layers. How many cubes are used for the prism?

Base=6
2nd layer=6
3rd layer=6

total is 18

A rectangular prism is a solid (3-dimensional) object which has six faces that are rectangles. It has the same cross-section along a length, which makes it a prism.

How do i work out the volume of prisms mymaths task

Presuming this is a triangular prism, just get the area of triangle and then multiply by the length of the prism. So, 1/2 * B * H of triangle times the L (length) of prism.

Clean prism

Depends where the dirt is, often it is trapped between the focusing screen and the prism. You can drop out the focusing screen using the tang on screen holding frame, remove the screen and blow the exposed face of the prism with an air puffer, or better still, use a camera vacuum to do this. More often than not, this will clean any large particles. If the dirt is anywhere else (unlikely) then you are looking at a prism removal. Not easy!

Area

A hexagonal based prism has a lateral area that is made up of 6 rectangular faces. If the hexagon at the base is regular, all the lateral rectangles are congruent (identical).
To calculate the lateral area of one of the rectangular faces you need to multiply the length of a side (s) of the regular hexagon by the height (h).
For the lateral area of the prism use A_l=6*s*h=P_b*h, where P_b is the perimeter of the base.
Sorry I cannot proceed further, because "using the area and the height?" is not clear enough for me.

What is rectangular prism?

Hello
Rectangular Prism/Cuboid Definition:
A Rectangular Prism/Cuboid is a solid figure bounded by six rectangular faces, a rectangular box. All angles are right angles, and opposite faces of a cuboid are equal. It is also a right rectangular prism.

Rectangular Prism/Cuboid Formula:
Area of Base(A) = l * w
Perimeter of Base(P) = 2l + 2w
Surface Area of Prism = 2(lw) + (2l + 2w)h = 2A + Ph
Volume of Prism = lwh = Ah
Diagonal of Prism = Sqrt(l² + w² + h²)
where
l = length, w = width, h = height

Hope this helps, if so do rate the solution

Menu display intermitent

display is disclosed which produces multiple visual displays in an intermittent manner which includes a display housing having a perimeter wall which is transparent during visual display and is an opaque mirror between visual displays. The perimeter wall of the display housing is a composite structure which preferably includes a transparent cylindrical substrate which is coated with an optical film and an opaque mask which defines display windows. Multiple visual displays are produced by a rotating display base which carries rows of rotating display elements. Preferably, the display elements are elongated triangular elements having three image faces which bear images which create the visual displays. The triangular display elements are arranged in a triangular configuration wherein the rows intersect one another at acute angles and are carried by the rotating base. The rotating base includes three display positions and each of the triangular elements includes three display positions. A stationary observer would see nine different visual displays and may see themselves mirrored in between and during the changes of visual displays. The perimeter wall of the display housing becomes transparent as the triangular display elements are backlit along their entire length by elongated fluorescent or neon light tubes. When the light tubes are off, the cylindrical display housing is an opaque mirror, preferably, about its entire periphery and height. Other embodiments of the invention include a single row of triangular display elements, and a rotating display base which includes display faces consisting of only a single display element.
