Question about MSI PM8M-V Motherboard

I don't think that particular motherboard has onboard vga. You must install a graphics card in order to use this board.

Take a closer look at you're motherboard. You should find the model number printed on the board. Most likely found inbetween the PCI slots.
Below is the link for MS-6580 / 845GE Max
This is the correct model number for you're board;
Download and install the drivers for you're audio and VGA.
You might want to save the link to u'r favorites.
