Question about Uniden BC72XLT Handheld Scanner
I've had this thing for a while and now so I can't return it. Everything seems to be working fine except it picks up nothing, it scans properly, etc. I have good frequencies programmed in it but it doesn't seem to be working...just scans away and away. I have the squelch set properly too. I know this because I have another scanner that is picking up signals right next to this one. It's frustrating because I've never heard a peep out of it other than setting the squelch and the beep when I turn it on. Anybody know some secret thing that I don't have selected or something? Thanks.
Not sure this would be a solution but...
Make sure you don't have the Ch. Locked out so it just skips them..
You may also try and let the scanner sit on one frequency that you know has chatter and see if you receive.
This unit also picks up local weather try that feature and you can tell if you reception is working or not.
