SOURCE: I have a cub cadet 1550, Blew fuse and wont disengage from gear

You have a bad wire which rubbed on the plastic housing to the engine block near the starter mower which causes a short and blows the fuse. I have the same tractor and this happened to mine also. The wire is red.

SOURCE: cub cadet riding mower blade won't turn on

If the click you hear is the electric PTO engaging, then your deck belt is broken or off a pulley some where. Check the belt & then clarify if needed

SOURCE: steering wheel is hard to turn on cub cadet riding

Start buy checking from steering wheel down the shaft , to gear that does turning, to shaft underneath mower that goes to steering tierods , to tires. Oil and grease will do wonders on any parts that look rusty, or may be tight. Definately check air preasure in your tires. You should be fine.
GOOD LUCK.

How to make gears/teeth on lower part of steering line up on 268-H T Wheel Horse line up? Rmove deck, orwhat? There is some wear on the teeth, & was bumping last time I mowed. Now, won't turn at all.

There is a spacer/bushing on the very bottom of the steering column. With wear the bushing fails and lets the steering column/and gear on the bottom of it slip down to the point that the gears don't mesh. Replace the Bushing.

My son was mowing, with our cub cadet 2166, and ran the left front tire into a fence and now the steering wheel wont work. You can turn it and it feels really loose but it isn't connecting to the

Check the two main gears. One at the end of the steering shaft and the other that it contacts. Some brands are adjustable where the large gear is held on by a bolt and an excentric which allows you to move the large gear closer to the smaller gear. This may have been knocked out of place or the gear(s) stripped. Here is a basic diagram of the parts.

Sounds like the sterring wheel is striped

Sorry I don't have a solution but have a similar problem. I replaced the steering pinion gear in hopes that would resolve the problem, but it didn't. The steering pinion gear is located at the bottom of the steering shaft and turns the steering gear. Looks like the steering gear needs to be replaced as well. The nuts securing the steering gear are accessible in the same area as the pinion steering gear. I am going to order a replacement steering gear and attempt to replace it.

My Toro LX500 Tractor steering is messed up, the steering wheel spins freely, not turning the tires. Gear looks a little worn. Is there a bushing around that shaft too, seems sloopy

I have just had the same problem.. the steering shaft is held in place only by the deck sheet metal, which has worn & is now too big to hold the shaft in the correct position, funny how a $2 bearing would have prevented this from ruining an otherwise great mower. I'm going to take mine to a mower shop & hopefully they can install a bearing there.
