SOURCE: rca 46 inch lcd tv, no sound
Go into the menu and change the HDMI Audio settings - the manual will give you a breakdown on this. HDMI is a little glitchy - if you were using red/gree/blue cables before switching to HDMI, you might want to consider going back to them - just an opinion.

The matrix drive board, or the screen itself most likely has failures. The fix is to change the board, or to replace the screen assembly.
On rare occasions it may be a bad connection with one of the ribbon cable assemblies that is not too complicated to service.
This type of repair may not be feasible. You will have to have an estimate done.

SOURCE: unusable signal
if you are handy and can sold, order the fuse from digikey. They have it for like 3 bucks but it is tiny. Hook up a dvd player first to the hdmi plugs to verify it isn't an actual signal problem. The fuse blown will give you a picture but no sound.
