Camera won't turn on

I have a casio EX-V7 and I just used it last week, brought it home, uploaded my photos to my computer using the base it comes with. When I was done I ejected the camera from my desktop, unplugged the usb and the camera went to charge mode. When the light turned green, I took it from the cradle, put it in its case and it's been sitting on my desk until today. I tried to charge my spare battery today and the charge light wouldn't turn on and now the camera does turn on either.
