SOURCE: Remove Swivel Base on 42LB1DRA
If you look at the back of your TV, locate four big screw/bolts. Its the biggest screws/bolts you'll ever find at the back. 2 each side that holds the unit to its swivel base. roughly 12" from the left edge and 12" also from the right edge. remove all this four (4) screws/bolts then ask someone to help you lift from the base.

Here are a few spots you can try. Underneath, there might be locks that use alan keys. You might need a long alan key depending on how big your TV is. Unscrew these alan keys as much as possible. Some mounts require up to pull the bottom of the TV out and then lift straight up. Try using a flashlight and look all around the TV, Also check the top. Some have clips that need to be pushed to the side. These clips have holes in them and sometime held in with zip ties to keep them locking the TV, You will need to cut the zip ties. Hope this helps...

I have the same TV, and I bought a mount with 4 connector holes. I was able to connect 3 of the 4 and it has been fine as the TV does not weigh too much. The TV was not designed with the current mode of either wall or stand mount. It was just intended for stand. I have had it on the wall for over 2 years.

There a 4 set screws on the back of the TV. There is actually an arrow pointing down to show you what direction the pedestal. Remove thesze screws and the pedestal comes right off.
