Same problem, went through the entire printer, removed all parts and it started working. Next day the same message

Open front cover

Remove drum unit and toner cartridge assembly

Put drum unit and toner cartridge assembly back in machine, but do no close front cover.

Press Clear/Back
You will get a message "Replace Drum?"
Select Yes to confirm

The setup country code for South Africa should be xx24 (which is changed in Maintenance 74). It's possible that you cannot change to this code, as region specific machines not always can change to codes out of their regions (i.e. Pan Nordic, Benelux, East Europe etc).

Here is a solution I found posted by Razor. (It turns out my engine controller board is bad.) Good luck with yours.

On your control panel, press "menu/set" "7" then "2". if your page count shows 288,888, you have a bad engine controller board. anything other than that count, most likely is a damaged paper cassette. there is a tab on front left side that is probably worn or broke off.

Actually the Replace Fuser message on these specific models sometime fail to reset after you replace the part.

If this happens:
Press Menu 6,3 and then select option 4 (Fuser)
Press okay
Press Stop/Exit

If you haven't replaced the unit then you should try that first.
