I think your mp3 player have its own program, file system error have all symptoms maybe in your windows system or in your mp3 player software, heres a tip: install a firmware of your mp3 player, run the scandisk or defrag your MP3 player... if the error exist try to insert your mp3 player to another computer to check if the problem is exist.

Sir i have my iriver mp3 player for more than 3 years it was working very fine but last year. when ever i start it it shows me file check error. and it runs the radio very flawlessly but there i cannopt...

Sounds like a corrupt file system. Assuming you are using Windows, If you can view the disk in My Computer, right click on the drive, select properties, tools tab, in the error checking option select check now.
You may also be able to format the drive by right clicking on the mp3 player's hdd and selecting format, then quick format. Copy any music you wish to keep though on a separate drive as format will erase it.

My mp3 keeps saying file system error when i turn it on.

Hi There.

I can understand the issue.
When you say getting file system error while you turn on the device, Possible cause would be device was not formatted properly or may be you would have unplugged the device in improper way (i.e) SAFELY REMOVE HARDWARE.

Do one thing. Please connect the device to the computer and check whether do u see green color arrow on the system tray.
If u see the arrow mark, right click on the icon and choose the option properties.
Then update the MTP drivers..Then try turning ON the device..
If still you face the same issue kindly revert..

Format error Coby mp3 mp610

Coby has released a firmware upgrade for the MP-610 MP3 Player. I recommend you download it and run it to fix your device. You can find the download and installation instructions on the Tip I posted on the FixYa Website.

I hope that helps.

My coby 610-2g mp3 player keeps saying file system error (file sys err) I formated it but it still says the same thing... Somebody please give me a solution...

I had the exact same problem. I tried formating and fiddling around with everything I could think of, but to no avail. But the answer to fixing the problem is relatively simple. I just went to the cobyusa website into the support section, chose the device, and used the firmware download. It wipes your player clean but fixes the file system error. hope it works for you as well.

It keeps saying file error

Check the format of the music you are playing and if you have music that requires the license it will load the music but not play. It will show up as a file error.

Nextar MA933A MP3 player File System error

download the disc that came with it no matter what windows/mac/lenux version you have.
drag it all out to your desktop.
look through the folders for a program with a rocket ship icon.
open it.
plug your mp3 player into the computer.
select "firmware upgrade" on the computer.
select the newest upgrade.
open it.
then click "upgrade firmware" and it'll be fixed for the system error, but you'll have to re-download the music.
