Hi Guys,

What model have you got? I have one that I have owned for well over a year now with absolutely no problems. In fact I would have to say for the $119 I paid for it, it has been the bargain of the century so far.

My model is CAS048 and to preheat it is very simple. You set the press the convection oven button to set the temp you want (i.e 180 deg) and push start. The oven will operate until it has warmed up at which time it will beep 3 times. Open the door and put your food in and set the time you wish it to cook and you are away!

P.S, mine will shut off automatically after a few minutes of reaching it's set temperature if I don't open the door and set the timer on it, so it pays to have your food ready or close to ready when you set it to preheat as it warms up quite fast.

Testimonial: "An excellent response. Thank you. "

Cooking in a convection microwave oven certainly is a bit different than using just a standard microwave and does require some special care and technique. Here is a link to an article which describes the general priciples of cooking with convection microwaves and explains some of the special techniques required:

http://whirlpool.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/384/~/how-does-combination-microwave-convection-cooking-work-and-how-do-i-use-it%3F

Although there is no documentation currently available online specifically for the Casera line of Microwave Convection ovens, here is a direct link to the ONLINE USER'S MANUAL for a model of convection microwave from Whirlpool with very similar features:

https://www.whirlpool.com/digitalassets/MLPDF/Use%20and%20Care%20Guide%20-%208206204.pdf

To view the Owner's Manual with Operating Instructions just use your mouse to click on the link, which is the underlined and blue highlighted text just above.

This will open a new web browser page automatically for you and allow you to view the information at the website indicated and the contents of the Owner's Manual.

You may need ADOBE READER installed on your computer to read PDF documents, although many computers already have this utility pre-installed.

You can always download this for free at WWW.ADOBE.COM if necessary.

Click on the DOWNLOAD ADOBE READER button on right side of the ADOBE home page when you get there, then follow the onscreen instructions to install the software on your computer.

As far as recipes for convection microwave ovens, there are many freely available online. Here are a number of links which will direct you to many examples of the types of resources currently available on the internet:
