CONNECT A REGULAR OR DIGITAL ANTENNA TO THE rf INPUT ON THE coby..
Do one or both of following.:
Connect rf output from copy to rf input of TV. (set both units to channel 3, or 4 --must match)
or connect three RCA connectors (either three cables or single cable with Yellow-Red and White connectors) to the matching
connectors on TV and COBY.

This might involve DISCONNECTING some connection from cable box.... but you may decide to keep both connected ( one item to each option as described above. ) The signals from the RED WHITE and YELLOW systems will be available on the TV when you set the TV for LINE input ( there might be more than one choice of LINE-IN selections on some TVs.

SOURCE: yes hello, i'm trying to

You should be able to connect the tv to a converter box. This is good for OTA signals to a TV with an NTSC tuner (coax) or composite video input. http://www.cobyusa.com/?p=prod&prod_num_id=205&pcat_id=2007#features-tab has the manual for the DTV102. Put the antenna coax cable to the converter box ANT In and then either the antenna out to the TV or the A/V (composite) out to the TV's composite in. If you use the RF connection, you will need to set the TV to channel 3 or 4 and set the switch on the converter box appropriately. For a composite video connection, you will need to change the input to AV1 (if there are several inputs). Depending on the TV, there may be a source or input button on the TV. For other models this is only on the remote. If you have the original remote, no problem. If you have a universal remote, make sure that you have a key that corresponds to the feature and that you found the code that lets the key work for your TV. (Not all universal remotes have the feature.)

However, you should get the best antenna that you can and have it pointed correctly to receive the stations. Digital signal doesn't have borderline reception. Try antennaweb.org or tvfool.com to check the stations and directions in your area. Antennaweb assumes an outdoor antenna but is very conservative in the channel list that it will indicate you can receive. Tvfool lists the channel reception depending on the antenna type. Tall trees and buildings can block the signal.

I hope this helps.

(please note that surges from the antenna can damage converter boxes and kill the tuner.)

How do I hook up Coby 5" black & white TV to my digital converter box ?

You will need a digital to analog converter which you can get at Radio Shack, Best Buy and most big box retail outlets or online. Your Coby is most likely analog and will require the digital signal to be converted to an analog signal from the digital converter box to the TV. UNLESS the digital converter box has analog (round connectors on the back) then you just need an analog RCA cable (which you can also get almost anywhere even your local CVS/Walgreens) to make the connection.

Your Coby converter probably requires unique codes; most converters do. Only the Coby remote will work
