My player doesn't play any disc(vcd dvd mp3) and display shows "no disc". what is the problem ?

Failure of the Optical head assembly. You can try to clean the head lens eye as a last resort.
If not the optical head must be changed, get the same type model OE component.
If not familiar change the Head with the help of an expert as the procedure to remove the static proof, solder short must be removed.

DVD player won't work

good day,

most likely the static you get from your DVD player is from the discharge voltage from the power supply capacitor within your player. The only thing you can do to remove your disc from the player is to open the top cover..and probably you'll gonna see a blown fuse and a leak capacitor which need to be replaced
to restore the power of your player.

question: Is the electric supply within your place is stable or sometimes fluctuating?
reminder: Also be aware that every time you'll operate electronic appliances specially with does metal case make sure that non of your body parts would have contact with earth ground (ex. floor/walls ) while powering on such device. sometimes the voltage from the capacitor inside the units are not discharge totally, and since the capacitor ground is connecting most of the time with the chassis of electronic device. the result would be the discharge voltage will pass through your body once you have contact with earth ground.

Hearing static while the dvd is playing how would i go about cleaning it

I have the Zenith XBV410 (combo dvd/vcr). I cleaned the lens using the Maxell Lens cleaner kit but nothing happened. Then I ran the Progressive Scan Mode and that seemed to do the trick. Word of caution: Progressive Scam Mode is difficult to turn off so would recommend you remove dvd from player, then press and hold the stop button for a min of 5 seconds up until whatever it takes to disablel PSM (Progressive Scan Mode)

Dvd player

Replacement mechanisms are shipped with a solder bridge that shorts out the laser to prevent problems with static electricity during shipping and installation. Did you remove that bridge? It should be on the optics assembly itself.

Static from multiple DVD's

I know what happened.

Your son was watching a porn flick and decided to pause the dvd when he saw a hot scene.

He was trying to **** off (but couldn't) and left it on pause too long, eventually burning out the unit.

Static from right from speaker

The noise is in the pre-amp stages of the Denon AVR. It might be caused by bad capacitors.
