I have a 1968 Seeburg Ls2 jukebox, and I think the main fuse in the junction box is blown.I can push down on top of the fuse holder but cannot get the fuse out.Is anyone familiar with this jukebox?

In addition to pushing down on the fuse cap, you will need to also twist IE unscrew the cap about one quarter turn. the cap will then pull out and have the fuse stuck in the end of the cap. Check it with a meter set for continuity.

If the fuse remains in the the hole and not in the cap, you can use a magnet to help extract the fuse.

Yes, I'm familiar with Seeburg's, but nothing is a very big symptom. if the main fuse is blown, try another fuse of the CORRECT value. if it blows again, you have a short, (Capacitor, transformer perhaps)

What causes a Rockola jukebox not to index?

I might be wrong about this but check inside for a switch marked Scan/off/play inside at the front of the mech. It should be in play position. Also check any circuit breakers and reset them on the upper back of the machine (inside). They look like the clicky end of a ball point pen.
After that I am stuck.

Been given a grade 5 Rockola 160 433, need a copy of the service manual

Contact the folks at www.victoryglass.com and tell them the make and model of your jukebox. They will have the manual set for around $50. Also, they bought out the entire Rockola factory parts inventory. So if by chance you needed Rockola parts, they would have it.

I have a Rockola 450 jukebox that has developed a hum when it is on - also when a selection is made it plays another song, usually the one immediately preceding it. I have not been able to find anyone...

I don't remember if this year/model has a tube amplifier or not. If it were just the hum, I would say it's time to have the tubes checked out or replaced. Since you are having malfunctions with the operation of the mechanical processes as well, my experience with these has been: Best case - a bad ground in the electronics. More than half of the ones I've fixed for people (with similar problems), I fixed by removing the electronic components, cleaning connectors, checking wires, and bolting everything back down tight. This is something you can do. (have you moved the jukebox lately? has it been jolted?) Worst Case - time and heat have caused a component on a circuit board to fail, or go out of tolerance. This will require an electronics repairman, and likely access to the schematic diagrams of the board(s). The schematics of these old jukeboxes are available for free online. There are forums specifically for Rockola Jukeboxes, which have dedicated repair sections you can ask other owners of the same vintage for help.
